October to December Names Announced on Social Media

Here are some baby names I saw announced on social media from October to the end of 2022!

BOYS:
Beau William
Beckham Jason
Gavin Charles
Bradley
Steele Gustav
Brooks Allen
Davis Thomas
Daniel Christopher
Cal James
Kingston Michael
Bodie Matthew
Tatum Booth
Koah Patrick
Jack William
Ethan Christian
Jet
Otto James

For boys I am noticing the letter B is SO popular (in firsts and middles)! Classic middle names are also popular.

GIRLS:
Blake Elizabeth
Hazel Marie
Rosemary Kay
Baylee Jean
Phoebe June
Bonnie Jean
Briella Nguyen
Ivy Rain
Delilah Jane
Alayah Divine
Mia Marie
Ila Grace
Lillian Jade
Ruby Jo
Navy Reign
Sunny Marie
Ellen Ida
Evelyn Rose

The main pattern Iā€™m noticing with girls is a middle name that is short (mostly one-syllable) and mostly starting with J!

I find it very interesting that the boy names are so varied! It has been discussed on here before how naming trends for boys tend to lean towards classics, or at least donā€™t tend to change very much. On your list, thereā€™s only 3 names that I would consider to fall into that pattern! Interesting!
On a similar note, it seems like girl names tend to be lessā€¦expectedā€¦options than boy names. Yet on here, you donā€™t see too many trendy names like [name_u]Brinleigh[/name_u] or [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. They are mostly old-fashioned or at least not overly common choices. I actually really love the soft simplicity of the girlsā€™ list. Itā€™s really refreshing to see names like this.

[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is such a GP of mine! (Because of ā€œIā€™ll Go Home with [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] Jeanā€ from Brigadoon.)

Ooh, fun! Here are my thoughts-

BOYS:

[name_u]Beau[/name_u] William-I donā€™t love [name_u]Beau[/name_u], but itā€™s fine. [name_m]Just[/name_m] kind of reminds me of ā€˜broā€™. This combo goes well together.

[name_u]Beckham[/name_u] Jason-Beckham feels weird to say for me. I canā€™t figure out whether or not the ā€˜hā€™ is silent. Itā€™s also very associated with the soccer player.

[name_m]Gavin[/name_m] Charles-Iā€™m not a huge fan of [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], but I canā€™t figure out why. [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] [name_u]Charles[/name_u] is perfectly solid.

Bradley-A bit dated, honestly, but a fine name.

[name_u]Steele[/name_u] Gustav-Gustav is cool. [name_u]Steele[/name_u] is a little harsh for a name.

[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] Allen-Meh, I feel like this is getting so trendy.

[name_u]Davis[/name_u] Thomas-Iā€™d love [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], but donā€™t like [name_u]Davis[/name_u] as much. Itā€™s not horrible.

[name_u]Daniel[/name_u] Christopher-Not super exciting, but a good solid choice.

[name_u]Cal[/name_u] James-I love [name_u]Cal[/name_u], although I do prefer it as a nn.

[name_u]Kingston[/name_u] Michael-The combo flows nicely, but [name_u]Kingston[/name_u] feels sort of pretentious.

[name_m]Bodie[/name_m] Matthew-Meh. Kind of trendy in my opinion, and not even spelled right. I love the [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] part.

[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] Booth-Tatum is one of those names that feels too masculine for a girl and too feminine for a boy. I can see [name_u]Tate[/name_u] being kind of cute.

[name_m]Koah[/name_m] Patrick-Oh man, why the ā€˜hā€™? [name_u]Koa[/name_u] is so beautiful! I like the [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] part as well.

[name_u]Jack[/name_u] William-Love this. Very sleek & handsome and charming.

[name_m]Ethan[/name_m] Christian-It doesnā€™t do much for me, but itā€™s okay.

Jet-So short without a mn, but [name_u]Jet[/name_u] is fine.

[name_m]Otto[/name_m] James-This seems like the next big boy name, I think. Itā€™s not bad, but I donā€™t love it.

GIRLS:

[name_u]Blake[/name_u] Elizabeth-Nice mn. I cannot see the appeal of the name [name_u]Blake[/name_u] on a girl.

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] Marie-Vintage & lovely. Kind of popular, but I still really like it.

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] Kay-Same as above, but I just canā€™t get on board with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Not sure why. I like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] separately.

[name_u]Baylee[/name_u] Jean-Baylee is not my cup of teaā€¦

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] June-So cute!

[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] Jean-Bonnie is a name that I should like, but just am not feeling it. Kind of fun and old fashioned to see [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] though.

[name_f]Briella[/name_f] Nguyen-Briella sounds pretty, but it just feels sort of made up.

[name_u]Ivy[/name_u] Rain-Nice enough.

[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] Jane-Good combo, but I just think [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] sound snobby.

[name_f]Alayah[/name_f] Divine-What?

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] Marie-I love [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. So darilng.

[name_f]Ila[/name_f] Grace-Hm. I feel like this really needs the ā€˜sā€™. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] looks more complete.

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] Jade-Lillian is lovely.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] Jo-Not a huge fan of [name_u]Jo[/name_u], but [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is kind of cute.

[name_u]Navy[/name_u] Reign-No, thanks.

[name_u]Sunny[/name_u] Marie-Thatā€™s a bit too cutesy, but different. I like [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] nn [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] more.

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] Ida-I like the mid century vibe, because itā€™s not overused. And the nns [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f].

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] Rose-Kind of boring, but fine.

Thanks for sharing.

Iā€™ve never been a massive fan of ruby but ruby jo is so adorable!

These are justā€¦glorious. Incredible stuff!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
