Odd Name

An extended family member has a 4-year-old daughter name…

Lyris

Older siblings:
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] (9-year-old brother)
[name_f]Paloma[/name_f] (6-year-old sister)

What do you think? I find the sibset odd, but really like [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] separately. I don’t care for Lyris… reminds me of lice haha

I don’t have a problem with [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] being siblings. I am not one who cares much about ‘sibsets’ to me each baby is an individual and you should pick a name you love for it regardless of what its siblings name is. On the flip side I can see why people would want them to go togethe, just my personal opinion that it doesn’t really matter.

But ya, totally don’t like Lyris… it is very very odd. lol and now that I see it reminds you of lice…all I can see is lice. haha. Definetely an intersting choice. Especially with such a lovely name like [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] for a sister.

Hmm…Lyris is a little odd, but I actually think it goes well with the sibset. The one out of place is [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]. I think Lyris and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] would’ve been better.

Lyris is definitely odd. I think [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f] would’ve been lovely with [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_f]Paloma[/name_f].

Is Lyris pronounced lie-ris or leer-is? Either way I like it and think it works well with [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] is the “odd man out” so to speak. It’s more traditional and common than the others.

This is exactly what I was just thinking.
