Odin, Raphael and Taliesin

Me and my husband love the name [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and we are quite daring but I dont know if I could name a son this what are everyones thoughts, I was suprised to see in 2018 it was within the top 500 names.

The other strong contenders are [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] and [name_m]Raphael[/name_m].
NN possibilities for these 3 are [name_m]Odie[/name_m], [name_u]Tally[/name_u] and [name_m]Raffy[/name_m].

Help us match these up with some quirky nature names?

[name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] [name_m]Hawk[/name_m]

Odin [name_u]Garnet[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_m]Leif[/name_m]

Raphael [name_u]Steele[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Fox[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Gale[/name_u] / [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Nightingale[/name_u]

Absolutely love the name [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u]!

Odin [name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Birch[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Harbor[/name_u]

Taliesin [name_u]Wolf[/name_u]
[name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] [name_m]Stone[/name_m]
[name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] [name_u]Sky[/name_u]

Raphael [name_u]Lark[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Fin[/name_m]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Merlin[/name_m]

I prefer [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] out of the three (love [name_m]Raffy[/name_m]!!) But [name_m]Odin[/name_m] is nice too

Odin [name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Cedar[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Cove[/name_u]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_m]Reef[/name_m]
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Mars[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Daystar[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Cove[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Tide[/name_m]

I think [name_m]Odin[/name_m] is usable! It has a familiar sound, and a little kid would love the connection to the Norse god. Plus [name_m]Odie[/name_m] is adorable!
That said, there’s also the similar [name_m]Orin[/name_m] if [name_m]Odin[/name_m] is too much for you, nicknamed [name_u]Ori[/name_u].
[name_m]Odin[/name_m] is my favorite out of the three. [name_f]My[/name_f] second favorite would be [name_m]Raphael[/name_m], because I love the nickname [name_m]Raffy[/name_m]. But [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] is handsome too!

I love [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] for boys! I like [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] but not as much as your other two and I don’t think it goes with the set. I can see [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] as brothers.

I loved [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and it was on my list but my husband and entire family saud it sounded like a dog’s name. I was super bummed but that seemed to be the initial reaction from everyone I talked to about it and it hadn’t crossed my mind at all! But I still personally love it so not discouraging you but sometimes getting the perspectives of others makes a name a deal breaker.

I liked [name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]George[/name_u].

Odin [name_u]Sage[/name_u] would also be super cool.

I love [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] also!

Raphael [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] or [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Sequoia[/name_u] comes to mind!

I’m intrigued by [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] because I’ve never heard it. Its definitely a gem.

Taliesin [name_u]Montgomery[/name_u] was the first thing that popped in my head!

Taliesin [name_m]Odin[/name_m] would also be cool if you want to use two off this list!

I also really love:

Taliesin [name_m]Oriol[/name_m]
[name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] [name_m]Moss[/name_m]

I think the reason for the popularity of [name_m]Odin[/name_m] is the [name_f]Marvel[/name_f] franchise.

I like [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] the most of your selections.

Raphael [name_u]Brook[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] (black water)
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Forest[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] (white hawk)
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] (flowing down)
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] (olive tree)

[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]

Others came up w amazing nature names so I won’t add anymore, but just had to say that [name_m]Odin[/name_m] and [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] are much better than [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u]. This looks made up. I have no idea how to pronounce it. Would be constantly misspelled. It’s a mouthful. And the nn doesn’t compare to the other two.

There was an [name_m]Odin[/name_m] in my son’s preschool class last year. He was a darling kid and it really endeared me to the name!

I think [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] is getting more popular and lots of names have the nickname [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] so I’d avoid if you’re wanting something unusual

Thank you for the reply. I love [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] [name_u]Forest[/name_u] , and Funny you put [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_u]Fox[/name_u], as [name_u]Fox[/name_u] is definitely a contender as a mn for us

Omg [name_m]Odin[/name_m] [name_u]Mars[/name_u] is pretty epic

I have people say about dogs to. That doesnt overly concern me because I know that once its heard on a child people will soon get used to it. I’m just in 2 mins because I love it but I dont know if it’s to big of a name lol. [name_m]Orin[/name_m] is a great suggestion thankyou.

I do love [name_u]Taliesin[/name_u] , he was a historic [name_m]Bard[/name_m] who knew [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and had links to [name_m]Merlin[/name_m] so pretty cool.
