A few weeks ago I posted for some advice on a baby boy name. Our due date was looming, and DH and I couldn’t agree on a boy name. The days came and went, and ten days past our due date, we still had no name. Our baby’s gender was unknown, but my mommy intuition kept telling me boy. Boy…was I wrong! So, to quote a line from my all-time favorite book:
“–Here came [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]…”
I was amazed to gaze upon my beautiful daughter, and astonished by her size. My previous two babies were both over 9 lbs, so I was expecting the same, but our newest bundle weighed in at 10 lbs 11 oz and 23 inches! We proudly welcome [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] into our family to join big sister [name_f]Jenica[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and brother Laeken [name_m]Andrew[/name_m].
Oh my goodness, how wonderful! I adore the name [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], and I’m a sucker for alliteration. What a charming combo! Best of luck with your new baby girl. Your other kids names are darling as well, I’ve always liked [name_f]Jenica[/name_f].
Oh, funny story - my husband and I were driving through Iowa two years ago discussing names for our now 20-month old boy. As we passed the exit for [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], my husband said, “[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]?” As familiar as I was with the name, it had never actually occurred to me to use it until I heard him say it out loud.
My favorite book is actually “The [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Bride[/name_f]”. [name_f]Buttercup[/name_f]'s baby is named [name_u]Waverly[/name_u]. I will need to add the “[name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_m]Luck[/name_m] Club” to my reading list!
Congratulations! What a wonderful name, [name_u]Waverly[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is so beautiful! It goes very well with her siblings too. You’re lucky that your husband has such good taste along with inspiration.
