Oisin and Niamh sibset?

Would it be odd to name a brother and sister Oisín and Niamh, as in Irish mythology, Niamh and Oisín were lovers?

Or do you think, in modern times, no one would really care?

For me personally, knowing they are supposed to be lovers would turn me off the idea, but for most other people I don’t think it will matter because it’s not common knowledge

While I didn’t know the mythology, now I do (and if I had) I wouldn’t do it

Consider siblings named [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_m]Samson[/name_m] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. It just isn’t done, and for good reason. :slight_smile:
