I’ve always loved [name]Gloria[/name] and I think it is way underused! I almost voted for [name]Rosamund[/name] because of its nn potential, but then I realized that one of the reasons [name]Gloria[/name] is so amazing is because it doesn’t need a nn to be universally appealing.
I also have a soft spot for [name]Mabel[/name], as it was my great-grandmother’s name and I can’t use it myself because it clashes horribly with my last name.
I went with [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Chrchyard. I love [name]Rosamund[/name]. So strong yet evocative of roses and their fragrance. [name]Gloria[/name] is also wonderful. I think of the [name]Patti[/name] [name]Smith[/name] song, which is probably not what you were going for, but I think it’s great.
I dislike [name]Mabel[/name]. It makes me think marmalade, quilting bees, etc. And this from someone who likes “old lady” names.
I think with last name Churchyard, [name]Gloria[/name] as a first name feels super religious. Not that that’s a bad thing, but it might be less versatile than a more “secular” name. [name]Mary[/name] Churchyard or [name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Grace[/name] Churchyard could definitely be problematic.
I voted for [name]Gloria[/name], because I think it is a beautiful name, with a lovely meaning. It is a name that will grow with her.
[name]Mabel[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard in that order would be my choice. I think that [name]Gloria[/name] and Church in the same sentence are a little too much but [name]Gloria[/name] is lovely in the middle name spot.
rollo
I prefer [name]Rosamund[/name] for it’s more timeless feel and nick-name potential.
[name]Gloria[/name] [name]Mabel[/name]
Neither. I vote [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Mabel[/name].
[name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name].
I voted for [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name], because I love both names and feel they are both underused. I see the appeal of [name]Mabel[/name], but it’s just not my thing.
The vibe I first got when I considered [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard was the religious connection–but I thought I was nuts–I don’t know why “[name]Gloria[/name]” evokes such a strong reaction in relation to ‘church’. Is ‘[name]Gloria[/name] in Excelsis’ that much of an influence in these times? But at least 2 others, I see, had the same reaction, so there’s something to it…
[name]Gloria[/name] is pretty. I don’t like [name]Rosamund[/name] because it makes me think of [name]Edmund[/name]- so it feels masculine. [name]Love[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosa[/name] as an alternative… [name]Gloria[/name] [name]Rose[/name] would be beautiful. I love [name]Rose[/name], even if other people see it as “filler.”
[name]Rosamund[/name]. [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Mabel[/name] would flow better and I don’t really like [name]Gloria[/name], but I do like [name]Rosamund[/name] and would love to see that used.
My vote goes to [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name], even though [name]Mabel[/name] is special to me. (my grandmother’s name) I think having a name notably longer than the other helps balance it out.
I do love [name]Rosamund[/name], but I think [name]Gloria[/name] [name]Mabel[/name] Churchyard flows beautifully and [name]Gloria[/name] is wayyyyy underappreciated as well.
I love [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name]! I think [name]Rosamund[/name] Churchyard is so feminine and rich and stunning. I think I like the sound of [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Glory[/name] even more, but [name]Gloria[/name] is lovely.
I also prefer [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Mabel[/name] Churchyard. I love the repetition of letters through the whole name.
I love [name]Mabel[/name].
I prefer [name]Rosamund[/name] as I think of the very sweet nn [name]Rosie[/name] and the simple [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosa[/name].
To be honest I like [name]Mabel[/name] [name]Rose[/name] Churchyard.
[name]Gloria[/name]- makes me think of the [name]Christmas[/name] carol ‘[name]Gloria[/name] in excelsis Deo’ and with the last name Churchyard it seems very religious. Which might be what you like?
[name]Love[/name] suggestion of [name]Mabel[/name] rose
I really dislike [name]Gloria[/name] (sorry I am unsure why, it just doesn’t apeal to me - sorry)
so I voted for [name]Rosamund[/name] - My name is [name]Rosemary[/name] and I love my nn [name]Rosie[/name]…
I voted [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name]
[name]Gloria[/name] as a first name is too much what with your surname, as other berries have pointed out!
Putting [name]Gloria[/name] in the middle spot is perfect, as you don’t want to lose the name completely!
Not 100% keen on [name]Rosamund[/name] because of the ‘mund’ bit. However, I love the nicknames [name]Rosa[/name], [name]Rosie[/name] and [name]Rose[/name], which is what she would probably be known as. I do think having a ‘full’ name is important though, for formal situations (e.g. jobs), so [name]Rosamund[/name] is fine! However, I prefer:

~ [name]Rosanna[/name]
