Okay Berries, you have free reign...

Okay, almost

I am due in 9 weeks with a baby girl, and I am stuck.
What would your list look like for her?

She is our last child (planned anyway lol), older brother’s name is [name]Caden[/name]. I compromised with dh for his name, it’s too tendy for me but dh loves it, he is very musical and he loved the [name]Cadence[/name] similarity. But now I’m stuck on pairing it with something I love! I am British, dh is American. Two middle names are not a requirement, one is fine.

Older brother: [name]Caden[/name] [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Kenyon[/name]
Last name: Loper

I won’t say what names I like yet because I want you guys to choose unbiased!

Thanks so much

Firstly, here are my ideas. I think a name that’s slightly popular but not trendy would work well with [name]Caden[/name] so he wouldn’t feel left out (not that he’d care probably lol) and something a bit more traditional and biblical for the middle name (I like subtle matching like that). I also like names with sweet nicknames.

[name]Abigail[/name] [name]Magdalene[/name] Loper “[name]Abby[/name]”
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Naomi[/name] Loper “[name]Olly[/name]” or “[name]Liv[/name]”
[name]Sarah[/name] [name]Julia[/name] Loper “[name]Sadie[/name]” or “[name]Sally[/name]”
[name]Isobel[/name] [name]Miriam[/name] Loper “[name]Izzy[/name]” or “[name]Ibby[/name]”
[name]Madeline[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] Loper “[name]Maddy[/name]”
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Delilah[/name] Loper “[name]Charlie[/name]” or “[name]Lottie[/name]”
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Violet[/name] Loper “[name]Josie[/name]” or “[name]Posie[/name]”

[name]Do[/name] you like any? My top 3 would be [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Naomi[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Isobel[/name] [name]Miriam[/name].

Best of luck!

Hm… I’ll name some of my favorites that seem like they would go well with [name]Caden[/name].

I hope the one’s I came up with help…

[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Selene[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Eilis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Delilah[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Anaya[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Mila[/name] [name]Jacqueline[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Anastasia[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Savannah[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Magdalene[/name]
[name]Caden[/name] & [name]Neva[/name] [name]Corinne[/name]

[name]Caden[/name] [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Kenyon[/name] &… (I’ll try not to repeat)

[name]Clio[/name] (though I don’t know how you feel about two ‘C’ names…)

Good [name]Luck[/name]!

You guys are awesome  I hope you can continue to help me find “the one”!

Our list looks like this:

[name]Violet[/name] (my top pick - currently #1)
[name]Aria[/name] (dh loves, I just can’t warm up to it, it’s a no)

From your lists that could work (I like some others, but dh doesn’t, like [name]Nora[/name] or [name]Scarlet[/name]):

I’m so glad that I seem to be on the right strack. This is much harder than I thought!

[name]How[/name] about:

I love [name]Violet[/name]! I think you should go with your first choice since you went with his last time.

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Aria[/name]

Good luck!

I like these names to go with [name]Caden[/name]:

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]

Okay I think we will go with:

[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] Loper or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name] Loper, depending on what she looks like when she comes out. And dh can call her [name]Aria[/name] if he wants as a nn for [name]Aurelia[/name].

BUT do you think there are too many “L” sounds? We may put [name]Mary[/name] in the middle too after dh’s grandmother who passed away. Though he doesn’t seem bothered.

[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mary[/name] Loper
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Mary[/name] Loper

Is there another name that would look better in the place of [name]Mary[/name]?
[name]Do[/name] [name]Caden[/name] and [name]Aurelia[/name] look too strange together?

Thanks for humoring all my silly questions!

I love [name]Aurelia[/name]! I don’t find it strange with [name]Caden[/name] at all. [name]Caden[/name] and [name]Aurelia[/name] sounds good to me. I’m also a big big fan of [name]Mary[/name] and I do think [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mary[/name] Loper sounds better than [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] Loper. [name]Mary[/name] seems to “ground” the whole combo to me if that makes any sense? And with the extra personal meaning it makes it even lovelier.

[name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Violet[/name] Loper would work too if you don’t mind changing the order.

[name]Aria[/name]'s a cute nn for [name]Aurelia[/name] and gives your hubby the name her wanted. It’s a nice compromise. I also like the nn’s [name]Rae[/name] and [name]Lia[/name].

If you’re not sure about [name]Mary[/name], maybe you could use a [name]Mary[/name] alternative? Like [name]Maribel[/name] (doesn’t help the L situation!), [name]Marie[/name], [name]Maren[/name], [name]Marissa[/name], [name]Mae[/name], [name]Maria[/name], [name]Marianne[/name], [name]Marianna[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Mara[/name], [name]Mari[/name] etc? Or did his grandmother have a middle name that you could use instead? I adore [name]Mary[/name] though, I think it’s sweet and cute but also very classic.

Good luck!

I really like [name]Aurelia[/name] but after you asked does it look strange with [name]Caden[/name] I think I would have to say that the styles are totally different. To get the styles more together [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Caden[/name] would seem more in tune imo.

I like [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name] [name]Mary[/name] but [name]Violet[/name] Loper sounds better than [name]Aurelia[/name] Loper because it avoids the ‘a’ sound in the names repeating.

I think [name]Caden[/name] and [name]Abigail[/name] would sit better eg [name]Cade[/name] and [name]Abbey[/name], very nice. [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mary[/name] Loper wdyt?

rollo

Hmm no not a fan of [name]Abigail[/name] at all.
In the US I don’t think the “a” sound will be an issue, the er part of Loper sounds different than the “a” in [name]Aurelia[/name]. Though when I visit my family in the UK I can see it sounding similar. [name]Do[/name] you think there are too many “l” sounds with [name]Aurelia[/name] Loper or [name]Violet[/name] Loper?

dh is also keen to call her [name]Riley[/name] if we go with [name]Aurelia[/name]. Not my fave as it’s kinda trendy but it does go with [name]Caden[/name].

[name]Ah[/name] I don’t know. I guess we will know when we meet her in 8 1/2 weeks! I think it will be [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Aurelia[/name].

Thank you for your help guys! Any other thoughts please let me know!

I like both [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Aurelia[/name]! No there is not too much L sound. [name]Violet[/name] sounds slightly better w [name]Caden[/name] but not enough to give a big advantage over the amazing [name]Aurelia[/name]. Def wait to see her and decide what fits. On a side note I don’t like [name]Riley[/name] as a nn to [name]Aurelia[/name]. If my dh told me he would be using [name]Riley[/name] as a nn if we named our daughter [name]Aurelia[/name] I would choose [name]Violet[/name].
