Hello Berries back again for another does of everyone’s wonderful opinions
[name_f]My[/name_f] first two children have Scottish inspired names after my side of the family, but hubby’s family is Ukrainian/Russian and for a girl I love [name_f]Oksana[/name_f].
Would love hear Yay or Nay.
Also would love to hear thoughts on how everyone pronounces this name…
TIA
I really like it and pronounce it ok-SAAH-nah, rhymes with [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]. I get a funky, sophisticated, clearly Slavic vibe from the name.
Ooh [name_f]Oksana[/name_f] is so distinct and beautiful!!
I’d pronounce it ok-sah-nuh
I say Ock-SAH-nuh, and I really like it! It just exudes cool and feisty. Not quite as rock ‘n’ roll as [name_f]Roxana[/name_f], but with plenty of charm and a fun, slightly sarcastic personality. (I’ll also admit I don’t mind the Killing Eve/Villanelle connection.)
