I’m stuck between [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]…
[name_f]Bella[/name_f] has been a favorite of mine forever, and even though I’ve never met anyone older or younger with that name, it’s clearly common on most popularity lists. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is more unique, but I don’t know if I love it as much… or will I regret picking a “common” name more? Help!
I think you will regret not picking the name you truly love. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is wonderful, and so does [name_f]Bella[/name_f] as nickname. There is a reason why this name is so popular.
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is nice, but I dont like it nearly as much as [name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
I think in this case, [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is the best choice for you . It’s the one you’ve loved the longest, it’s timeless, elegant and full of history.
[name_f]Bella[/name_f] is cute but it also has plenty of other possible, unique or unexpected nn like Isby, [name_u]Abby[/name_u], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Ibby[/name_f], [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_u]Izzy[/name_u], [name_u]Beau[/name_u], Sabby, [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Bee[/name_f], [name_f]Bizzy[/name_f]… it means it’s versatile and full of potential
Equally, you could pair it with a unique middle maybe?
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is so lovely! It’s my grandma’s name. I would go for [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
but only if you love it!
I would go for the name you really love. If you love [name_f]Bella[/name_f] more than [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], you could consider a similar names?
[name_f]Annabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Corabella[/name_f]
I don’t think you will ever truly regret choosing a name you love. I have a fleeting disappointment that the name I chose for my daughter ruled out a few other names I love, because they sound too similar, but the same would have happened if I had used any one of them.
If you are bothered by popularity, you could choose something less common, like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Anabella[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Mirabella[/name_f], [name_f]Amabel[/name_f], [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u], or just use [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. However, there are a lot of Bellas out there because it’s such a pretty name and easy nickname for many names, including the popular [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and all variations, so you won’t really avoid that if [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is the name you want to use.
Pick the one you love best. It seems pretty clear to me that that’s [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]/[name_f]Bella[/name_f]. You’re lucky to have a clear favourite, don’t let it get away!
Hey there
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is beautiful. But very very common. I know a girl at work who’s name is [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. And it suits her perfectly. I figured it was short for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. But no, it’s short for [name_f]Annabella[/name_f] which is really pretty and I like better now actually. Slightly less common but a little different. If you don’t love [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] what about [name_f]Stella[/name_f]? It still has that celestial star feel. But kinda the best of bother worlds. [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] have to do with space. And it’s also close to [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. Haha just a thought. Good luck.
Yes, as others have said, I too think that your long time love for [name_f]Bella[/name_f] wins out. There’s a reason it’s so popular/common these days as [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is lovely.
If [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is the original love though, have you considered just using it as the full first name? I think [name_f]Bella[/name_f] works well standalone.
