I love old fashioned names for boys.
Currently I’m trying to find more names that are typically seen as nicknames (keeping with the old fashioned style). I would possibly use these as actual full names though.
[name_m]Ike[/name_m]- [name_u]Love[/name_u]!!
[name_m]Zeb[/name_m]- Also love, but would probably use [name_m]Zebulon[/name_m] as a full name (if my partner would allow me)
[name_m]Cy[/name_m]- It’s ok.
[name_m]Sol[/name_m]- Heard this the other day and thought it was cute, I like it a bit more than [name_u]Sully[/name_u].
Any suggestions to add to my list? Or full name options that provide cute nn?
I like [name_m]Ike[/name_m], [name_m]Zeb[/name_m] and [name_m]Sol[/name_m]! I’d probably consider them for [name_m]Isaak[/name_m]/[name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Zebedee[/name_m] (okay, maybe that’s a bit of a guilty pleasure name) but I like [name_m]Sol[/name_m] and [name_m]Ike[/name_m] on their own too.
Some long names with good nicknames:
[name_m]Balthazar[/name_m]/[name_m]Basil[/name_m]= [name_m]Baz[/name_m]
[name_m]Angus[/name_m]= [name_u]Gus[/name_u]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]= [name_m]Dex[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]= [name_u]Lex[/name_u] or [name_m]Fox[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]= [name_u]Jazz[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]= Mory
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]= [name_u]Mal[/name_u] or [name_m]Mac[/name_m]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]= [name_u]Sully[/name_u]
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]= [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
[name_u]Whitney[/name_u]= [name_u]Whit[/name_u]
@greyblue hey you aren’t alone I love [name_m]Zebedee[/name_m]! It’s probably the only name ending with -ee that still looks like a real name to be lol.
For OP, you might like
[name_u]Jet[/name_u]/[name_m]Jed[/name_m]/[name_u]Jem[/name_u]
[name_m]Des[/name_m]
[name_u]Ash[/name_u]
[name_u]Cal[/name_u]
[name_m]Bix[/name_m]
[name_m]Zed[/name_m]
[name_u]Gus[/name_u]
[name_m]Dex[/name_m]/[name_m]Dax[/name_m]
[name_m]Iggy[/name_m]
[name_u]Vic[/name_u]/[name_m]Vick[/name_m]
[name_m]Cliff[/name_m]
[name_u]Dash[/name_u]
[name_m]Hitch[/name_m]
You can use [name_u]Mal[/name_u] for [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], though that may sound too much like [name_f]Mallory[/name_f].
I’ve sometimes gone by [name_u]Ricky[/name_u] (via [name_m]Eric[/name_m]), which you can also get from [name_m]Richard[/name_m] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m].
