[name_f]My[/name_f] little ladies list tends to be kind of old ladyish…
But What do you think? Are these names usable or stuck in a nursing home and should never get out? HONEST comments wanted!!! ( i will not be personally offended!)
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f]
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] - usable
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] - sort of usable
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - it has never been super popular so it doesn’t sound very old-ladyish
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Dot[/name_f] but don’t like [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] on a child
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - usable (but I prefer simple [name_f]Nora[/name_f])
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f] - usable but I don’t think that the nn will stick
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - sort of usable
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m] - barely usable
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] - sounds dated
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - usable again
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - usable
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u] - slowely becomes stylsh again
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f] - usable
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] - sort of usable but for a girl I’d choose the -y spelling to distance it from the [name_m]French[/name_m] male name
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f] - never heard of that one, it reminds me of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] - I’ve only heard of [name_f]Selma[/name_f] so I can’t say anything about the usability of [name_f]Salma[/name_f]
I like:
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]
[name_f]Regina[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - I prefer the nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f] especially since that name is on your list
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - very on trend right now
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
Dislike
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] - Think of this as a boys name regardless of spelling
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f] - ??? [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] or [name_f]Aretha[/name_f]
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u] - [name_f]Salma[/name_f] - nella
All in all totally useable, you have some odd ball names on your list but we all do
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] - don’t like this name myself but it’s definitely usable.
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] - reminds me of [name_f]Ella[/name_f], guess it could work
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - definitely usable and super sweet!
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] - in it’s full form… not really, the cute nicknames could make it work though
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - definitely!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] seems stiff and formal to me but there’s plenty of sweet and spunky nicknames that could make it work!
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - definitely usable!
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] - meh
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] - usable, although I dislike the harsh sounds of this
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - definitely usable
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - only as a nn for something more “formal” (also this is my cat’s name)
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - definitely! love this one <3
Colette - definitely!
Remi/Remy - I can only see this on a boy, sorry
Eartha - nah
Salma - never heard this before, I think it could work
[name_f]Regina[/name_f], [name_u]Remy[/name_u], and [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] are the only ones I’m iffy on. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is a boy’s name, [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] belongs to [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m], and [name_f]Regina[/name_f] reminds me of the character from Mean Girls.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy-Cute
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]-gorgeous
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] -Freshing
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f]-I don’t care for this one but [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is cute!
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]-I like
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]-Cute
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]-[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] too!
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m]-Not a fan but [name_f]Shania[/name_f] [name_m]Twain[/name_m]'s real middle name is [name_f]Regina[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]-love not old at all
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]-cute, have you seen The Fault in Our Stars!!! There’s a teen girl named [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] in it.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]-boys
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]-middle name
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]-cute but not sure where [name_f]Coco[/name_f] comes from. [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]?
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u]-Not a fan
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f]-I’d avoid this
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u]-Not ready for a come back
These are pretty tame for old lady names! The only ones I think are a little odd are [name_f]Eartha[/name_f], because it’s tied to [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m] so strongly, [name_u]Remy[/name_u] which is mostly a boys name and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] I think would work better as a nickname, boy nicknames for girls haven’t taken off too much yet although [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is pretty popular.
In fact a number of these names are considered too popular by some so you are pretty much right on trend.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy- Wonderful choice! [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] is on my own list: she is smart and feisty, with a big dollop of charm.
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. It could definitely work as a substitute to [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]- On my own list! Not old lady at all: [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is spunky and fresh. The nn options of [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_f]Noely[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Aggie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lia[/name_f] are gorgeous too.
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f]- [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] is on my own list. She is so charming: I love [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] as well.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], I think of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m], so that is a definite plus.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]- Beautiful. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is on my own list.
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m]- I prefer [name_u]Reggy[/name_u] on its own. I still think of [name_f]Regina[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] of Mean Girls, but it is a great name.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]- I wouldn’t say this is old lady chic. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is very very common now.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f].
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]- I love [name_u]Billie[/name_u]: smooth and jazzy cool. I particularly love the combo [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Mavis[/name_f]. It sounds like the name of a blues or jazz musician.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]- On my signature. I adore [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f].
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u]- Smart and spunky.
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f]- I really like it, and it could definitely work as an ‘out there’ choice. It would be incredibly spunky and funky on a little girl of today.
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u]- I think of [name_f]Salma[/name_f] Hayek, so I would say it s certainly usable.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] - I can definitely see this working on a child.
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] - Same as above. I met a toddler [name_f]Etta[/name_f] a few months ago, she was adorable and her name suited her perfectly.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - NMS and where I live nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] would be seen as old fashioned (think Dame [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]).
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] both for the name itself and a very personal connection. However whenever I’ve mentioned it to family and friends the response has overwhelmingly been that it’s not quite ready for a comeback!
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - Pretty and totally usable.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - I know [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]'s of all ages so I can’t see any problems with this one. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nn is [name_f]Nell[/name_f].
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - Where I live a lot of the ‘old names’ are back in fashion. I could definitely see [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] fitting in with all the [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Edith[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Florence[/name_f]'s and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]'s I’ve been meeting recently!
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] - I’m afraid I think of Mean Girls as well…
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] - I could see this working.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - NMS but nice enough.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - Nickname names seem to be popular and while [name_u]Billie[/name_u] isn’t my style and see no reason it couldn’t be used. I do immediately think of [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_u]Piper[/name_u] though.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - See above! [name_f]My[/name_f] hairdresser had a baby [name_f]Florence[/name_f] last year. She’s gorgeous!
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] - I see this one as a bit ‘middle-aged’.
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] - This is a nickname to me.
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f] - Maybe as a middle?
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] - I live in an area with a strong asian community and I’ve met several [name_f]Salma[/name_f]'s between the ages of 5 and 23.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. [name_u]Romy[/name_u] – This is already trendy in some circles.
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] – On its way back as a nickname.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] - I’ve never seen this as old, it’s too botanical.
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f] – Ready for a comeback.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] – Classic. It’s not defined by age.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f] – Classic. It’s not defined by age.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] – Where I grew up [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is dowdy, but it has become popular on nameberry.
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m] – Not old, just a bit severe and dare I say… dull?
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] – I actually see this as a young name. I don’t know any old Bridgets.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] – Too trendy to be old.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] – Retro, but not old.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u] – [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is a top five name in [name_m]Quebec[/name_m]. It’s anything but old anymore.
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f] – Where I grew up this name is old, but it does have a youthful air.
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] – I just don’t like this name. Where I’m from it’s an old man name.
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f] – Not old, but too tied to [name_f]Earth[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m]
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u] – [name_f]Salma[/name_f] is old, [name_f]Sally[/name_f] could make a comeback eventually.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy-ramona and beezus
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]- this seems like a NN 2 me
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] - could totally work and is really cue
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f]- not really a fan but this one coming back
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]- seen this one on the telly a lot recently not my cup of tea
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]- 2 cute like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] this ones coming back
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]- this doesn’t seem old lady 2 me in the slightest
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m]- I think of once upon a time
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]- I think of a little girl with wild red hair
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- this ones been back for a while now
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]- kinda dated 2 me
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]- this ones just now coming back so depends on who your talking 2 I guess , I love nn ren
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- really cute see sylvie
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u]- I see this on a boy sorry
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f]- not my cup of tea
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u]- not sure what I think of this one
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy- Cute! Very usable
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u]!
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]- Beautiful! I prefer the nn [name_f]Nola[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f]- Dislike
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u]!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]- Dislike
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] as a nn for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m]- Pretty! Not a fan of [name_m]Regi[/name_m] though
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]- [name_f]Adore[/name_f]!
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- Dislike
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]- Too masculine
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]- Dislike. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]- Beautiful!
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u]- Too masculine
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f]- Dislike. Never heard of it. Might get called [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] (which I also dislike)
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u]- [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t love it, don’t hate it. Still usable.
Ramona nn. romy- I live in Louisiana, and here Ramona usually pairs up with a mean, fat old lady. But useable.
Etta- Here it usually pairs up with a sweet little old woman, so I think it’s very cute. Useable.
Magnolia nn. Maggie- Magnolias are the state flower of Louisiana, so I think it’s okay-I just hat the “mag” part, and Maggie doesn’t help. Still useable.
Dorothy nn Dory or Dot- Very Southern Belle, old-fashioned name. It’s my great-grandmas name, but I don’t particularly like it. Nonetheless useable.
Norah- I hate its sound. Useable, though.
Eleanor nn Leni- Not a big fan, and Leni sounds extremely dated. But definitely useable.
Sylvie- I can’t get over the fact that the last four letters can be rearranged to spell evil. Perfectly useable, though.
Regina nn Regi- Sorry, but Regina reminds me of vagina. Regi is just ugly to my ears. Not useable.
Bridget- I can only see this on a blond teenage girl with bad grades. Sorta useable.
Hazel- Nope. Hate it. Probably because I hate hazelnuts. But very on trend, so useable.
Billie- Meh. It has potential, but I don’t really like it. Useable in the middle, not so much first.
Florence nn Ren- Never really liked Florence. And her nickname will most definitely not be Ren. I can assure you that you would be only one of the people to call her that. But very useable.
Colette nn Coco- Sounds like an awkward feminization of Cole. Not useable.
Remi/Remy-Remi is more feminine, but I dislike both. Still useable, though.
Eartha- I prefer just plain Earth. Too reminiscent of Bertha. Not useable.
Salma nn Sally, Sal- It’s okay. I HATE Sally, but Sal is fine. Kinda useable.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] - usable (I love [name_u]Romy[/name_u])
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] - not usable [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - usable ([name_f]Maggie[/name_f]'s adorable)
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] - usable (I love [name_f]Dotty[/name_f])
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - usable
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - usable
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - not usable
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] - usable (although I don’t like this name)
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] - usable
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - usable
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - usable (same as [name_f]Regina[/name_f], NMS)
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - usable (I love [name_f]Flo[/name_f] and [name_f]Floss[/name_f])
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] - not usable
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] - usable
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f] - not usable
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] - not usable
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and my least favourite is [name_f]Eartha[/name_f]/[name_f]Etta[/name_f]/[name_u]Billie[/name_u].
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn. romy–obnoxious little sister name
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]–bluesy classic!
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]–[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], nn. [name_f]Nola[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Dory[/name_u] or [name_f]Dot[/name_f]–eh
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]–I know it’s a NB fave, but I always think ‘[name_f]Nora[/name_f], snora’
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f]–[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] sounds like a fussy librarian, but [name_f]Leni[/name_f] sounds uneducated…mismatch
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]–Sylvanie
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] nn [name_m]Regi[/name_m]–[name_f]Regal[/name_f] and fun–I love this!
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]–[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]–the maid or the nut? I admit, it’s growing on me.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]–what’s the full name?
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ren[/name_u]–Fiorenze
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Coco[/name_f]–[name_f]Cosette[/name_f]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u]–I’d assume a boy of [name_m]French[/name_m] or Cajun heritage
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f]–rather earthy
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_u]Sal[/name_u]–[name_f]Selma[/name_f] is better
Well, I love most of them so I guess I’m an old lady name fan also!
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] - I’ve always loved this name. I definitely think it can be used. I also think the nn [name_u]Romy[/name_u] helps it be more usable than [name_f]Mona[/name_f] (although I like [name_f]Mona[/name_f] also)
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] - I think this could definitely be ready for a comeback. Very sweet.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], but I’ve never understood the appeal of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. Between the [name_f]MAG[/name_f] and then the [name_m]NOLE[/name_m]… not a fan. But I think it’s usable, especially with [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] as the nickname.
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] - Eh. I don’t know about this one. I can’t decide if it’s just that I find it unattractive or what, but I just don’t think it works. I definitely wouldn’t use [name_u]Dory[/name_u] (Finding [name_m]Nemo[/name_m], anyone?), but I guess [name_f]Dot[/name_f] is okay. I think [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] could be cute.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] - I’m a little biased… OF COURSE this name is usable!
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - I absolutely adore this name. If our last name didn’t also start with “[name_f]El[/name_f],” we may’ve used [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and had [name_f]Nora[/name_f] be the nickname. [name_f]Leni[/name_f] is cute too.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - One of my top contenders if we have another daughter! I love it. Definitely usable because it sounds so similar to [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f].
[name_f]Regina[/name_f] - This feels a little dated to me, but it’s okay. I really don’t like [name_m]Regi[/name_m], though. I prefer [name_f]Gina[/name_f], [name_f]Gia[/name_f] or [name_f]Gigi[/name_f].
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] - I used to think this was dated, but now I feel like it’s starting to be a quirky classic. I definitely like it.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - Was a top name until it hit me - it sounds weird with our last name. I definitely think it’s usable. [name_m]Jim[/name_m] from “The Office” just named his daughter this so I may be a little concerned with it jumping up the charts kind of like [name_u]Harper[/name_u] has after all the celebrities.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - I think it’s really cute, but it should be a nickname. It’s a nickname and a male nickname at that so you want to give a girl more options for when she’s older. I love the idea of [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u] b/c then you could also use [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Mina[/name_f], [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] or [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. Come to think of it, you could probably use [name_f]Willa[/name_f] as a full name and [name_u]Billie[/name_u] as a nickname too.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - I knew a [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. In her 80’s. She went by [name_f]Flo[/name_f]. She was probably the sweetest yet coolest old lady I had ever met. I’m not sure how I feel about it on a kid, but my friend’s sister has a 1 year-old named [name_f]Frances[/name_f] ([name_f]Franny[/name_f]) and we were all a little weary at first… now it’s precious. So I would say go for it; however, I’m not a fan of [name_u]Ren[/name_u]. MAYBE Reni. I prefer [name_f]Florrie[/name_f] or [name_f]Flossie[/name_f].
[name_f]Colette[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]. IT. Again, if it didn’t clash with our last name, this would’ve been a real contender. I definitely think it’s more than ready. I adore [name_f]Coco[/name_f].
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]/[name_u]Remy[/name_u] - Eh. I’m sure you could use it, I’m just not sure I see the appeal with all the other gorgeous, feminine names on your list.
[name_f]Eartha[/name_f] - [name_f]Bertha[/name_f], [name_f]Martha[/name_f]… nope.
[name_f]Salma[/name_f] - I think you could use it. [name_f]Sally[/name_f] could be a cute nickname. I think I prefer [name_f]Selma[/name_f] a little more though.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestions of [name_f]Florence[/name_f] nn Reni!!! Why didnt I think of that? That may have bumped it UP my list!
I love every single one of these names except for [name_u]Remy[/name_u] (boys only) and [name_f]Eartha[/name_f]. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] I’ve never cared for, but it’s certainly stylish. [name_u]Billie[/name_u] is sweet, preferably as a nickname - perhaps for [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]? [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Regina[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], and [name_f]Salma[/name_f] (prefer [name_f]Selma[/name_f]) are tragically underused. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] are definitely rising stars. [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] is fabulous, and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is just perfection.
