Names of bygone eras are all the rage, but I recently read “[name_f]Imogene[/name_f]'s Antlers” with my daughter. I realized I haven’t seen [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]/[name_f]Imogene[/name_f] mentioned much on these boards. It’s not my style, but do you think it’s worth getting a little more attention?
I’ve actually always had a soft spot for [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], and it’s been on my guilty pleasure list for quite some time. I’m not sure I’d actually use it in the future (especially since my top girl name is [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]), but with the popularity of [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], and all of those variants, I see no reason [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]/[name_f]Imogene[/name_f] shouldn’t be getting more attention.
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] was my first favourite name, until I realised how popular it where I live (UK), but it’s still on my list, although a lot lower down. Anyway, I like that she’s not too frilly, and I thought she’s a bit tomboyish, which I really liked. I’ve always thought [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] was a bit of a nb name, but I guess I don’t see many threads on her anymore now I think about it.
I love [name_f]Imogene[/name_f]! Put it on my list years ago after re-reading The Best [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] Pageant [name_u]Ever[/name_u] as an adult. I just think it’s such a great, under used name and has the added benefit of [name_f]Genie[/name_f] as a nickname!
I’ve always thought [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] was absolutely gorgeous, just not sure how usable it is in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]??? [name_f]Imogene[/name_f]'s not my taste as much, but a few years ago (when I was posting under a different username) it felt like [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] was suggested almost all the time on here!
I love [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]!
I love [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] (prefer this spelling) and I had it on my list of Western names !
