I’m softening my partner up on the name Oleander. I honestly think it goes great with [name_m]Archimedes[/name_m] while also loving that it’s a botanical name. [name_m]Ptolemy[/name_m] and [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] are still our top contenders for the short list but Oleander has been a favorite of mine for a long time and I’m hoping if I find the right middle name maybe I can swing it into our top 3.
While it isn’t a requirement, names that are associated with scientists, philosophers, or mathematicians of antiquity are a definite bonus!
Names of artists or composers, or literary names, work as well.
A couple of idea that I like but don’t love:
Oleander [name_m]Socrates[/name_m]
Oleander [name_m]Belvedere[/name_m]
Oleander [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]
Oleander [name_m]Fabian[/name_m]
Oleander [name_m]Virgil[/name_m]
Name combos we’re loving from this thread:
Oleander Prospero
Oleander Cicero
Oleander Cornelius
Oleander Atticus
Ooooh Oleander [name_m]Cornelius[/name_m] is very handsome. It may not be the smoothest rhythmically but it’s definitely goibg to appeal to my partner. (He loves [name_m]Cornelius[/name_m] but we’ve kong since ruled it out as a fn because if the repetitive endings of [name_m]Cornelius[/name_m] [name_m]Harris[/name_m]).
I swear the name [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] sounds good as a middle for nearly every name!
My partner also loves [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] whiched we nixed for the same reason as [name_m]Cornelius[/name_m]. Definitely a good one to put on the list.
The k you for your suggestions princessshanon!
Our first born’s nn is [name_m]Archie[/name_m] which leave a out [name_m]Archibald[/name_m], but it is a great combo!
I’ve adored [name_m]Alphonse[/name_m] since I was on my teens! Definitely liking that combo.
I also like Oleander [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], Oleander [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], and Oleander [name_m]Emmerich[/name_m]!
Oooh [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] is wonderful!
And I love the sound of Oleander Hawking, but do you think Oleander Hawking [name_m]Harris[/name_m] might be a little much?
