Olive & Kit's sister coming Friday and still no name HELP!

Okay, ladies. Last post. I need your best suggestions of first and middle names for a girl. I got a lot of great suggestions for first names (which my husband vetoed most of them), but no middle names so just tell me your favorite combinations and maybe one of them will fit when I meet her and I get my hubby agrees to it. My only requirement is that they go with [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Kit[/name]'s names.

[name]Courtney[/name] [name]Olive[/name]
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]

You guys have been great and if it weren’t for my pig headed husband, she might actually be named.

My favorites from the other list are [name]Mae[/name], [name]Thea[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Lulu[/name], & [name]Miri[/name] to give you an idea of what I like and Hubby hates. Thanks!!!

[name]Courtney[/name] [name]Olive[/name]
[name]Kit[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]

I’m sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time! I will put my thinking cap on.

[name]Anna[/name] - sorry, I know this is kind of boring, but I’m trying hard to find something that your husband would like. My husband loves [name]Anna[/name].
[name]Beatrix[/name] nn [name]Trixie[/name] or [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Bee[/name]
[name]Bianca[/name] - maybe I suggested this before, sorry, but nn could be [name]Bee[/name]
[name]Brenna[/name], this is kind of dated but I really love it.
[name]Dia[/name] - means “day” in Spanish. I call my kitty [name]Dia[/name] sometimes
[name]Edith[/name] nn [name]Edie[/name]
[name]Frances[/name] nn [name]Franny[/name] or [name]Francie[/name]
[name]Ginger[/name] - I just love [name]Ginger[/name]
[name]Helena[/name] nn [name]Lena[/name] or [name]Nell[/name]
[name]Jacqueline[/name] nn [name]Jackie[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] - [name]Jane[/name] is a great name and not very common. I really love [name]Jane[/name], and I would have named my own daughter [name]Jane[/name], but it was already taken by my cousin.
[name]Lainie[/name], nn for [name]Elaine[/name]
[name]Leona[/name] - my fave lately! You are welcome to it.
[name]Lucy[/name] - so cute
[name]Regi[/name], a nn for [name]Regina[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] nn [name]Rosie[/name]
[name]Ruth[/name] nn [name]Ruthie[/name]
Taia - we knew this family from [name]England[/name] that seemed pretty upper crusty, and their daughter was named Taia pronounced [name]TAY[/name]-ah. I know you’re desperate, so I’m trying to list everything I can think of. Taia from [name]England[/name] was very spunky and cool.
[name]Zandra[/name] nn [name]Zandie[/name]

I probably already listed most of these before. Hopefully not. Tell us a first name you love or the middle name you will use as your daughter’s main name, and then we will think of middle or first names. I know that sounds confusing, but you know what I mean.

Sorry if I repeat!

[name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Tibbie[/name], [name]Betta[/name] or [name]Izzie[/name]

[name]Frances[/name] nn [name]Fritzi[/name] or [name]Francie[/name]

[name]Dorothea[/name] nn [name]Doe[/name]

[name]Maria[/name] nn [name]Ria[/name] or [name]Mitzie[/name]

[name]Matilda[/name] nn [name]Tillie[/name]

[name]Flora[/name] nn [name]Florrie[/name]

[name]Marlo[/name] nn Lo

Oh, darn! I’m so sorry you don’t have a name yet! :frowning:

[name]Winifred[/name] [name]Violet[/name]

Good luck!

I really like [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Jane[/name]… you could call her [name]Bix[/name] or Bixie among many other nicknames for [name]Beatrix[/name]! Good luck! I know how hard it can be

This is a GREAT way to think of a name. Look up Drexel Heritage Furniture on Google. When you get to the Drexel Heritage website look up furniture in the website. You can look up individual furniture or styles of furniture. The French furniture has great names. So does Postobello. The upholstered couches and chairs also have wonderful names.
Another website that is useful for finding names is [name]Maine[/name] Cottage Furniture. Look it up on Google. Same thing. A lot of their furniture has wonderful names, especially the couches and chairs.
The furniture is expensive, but the names are free!

My daughter thought of [name]Zoe[/name]

Interesting tip, [name]Susan[/name].

I thought of another idea - pitch some really gross names or totally oddball. Then come back to your list, they will sound a lot better to your husband.

Hopefully, he won’t find appeal in any of the disturbing ones, Spoona, telephone (pronounced as like [name]Penelope[/name] or [name]Persephone[/name]). Cashewnut. Motley. Caffeine. Lawn. If you think there’s a risk, then go back to [name]Susan[/name]'s idea! Then go to sleep and maybe she will tell you her name. [name]Hope[/name] she doesn’t like Lawn. Good luck!

I’m sure I will repeat other people, sorry!

[name]Cameo[/name]- I like this because it has the hard C sound from [name]Kit[/name] and O from [name]Olive[/name]
[name]Dorothy[/name] nn [name]Doe[/name]
Alyssum- I knew a little girl named this when I was little, I’ve never heard it used again, I always thought it was the prettiest name
[name]Rita[/name]- I think this matches perfectly with [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Kit[/name]. Old fashioned and sassy!

Some combos I like:

I really love [name]Rita[/name] with your girls, so I’ll give you some combos for that
[name]Rita[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] (this is on my personal list!)
[name]Rita[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Rita[/name] [name]Octavia[/name]
[name]Rita[/name] [name]Amity[/name]

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Cameo[/name] called [name]Cameo[/name]
Maybelline [name]Cameo[/name]
[name]Celestia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name] [name]Bliss[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name] [name]Faye[/name]
[name]Odilia[/name] [name]Mae[/name]
[name]Amity[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Amity[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Clarity[/name] [name]June[/name]

GOOD [name]LUCK[/name]!!! Whatever you pick will be amazing! Your other daughters have gorgeous names, this one will too! I hope everything goes perfectly on Friday, I will be thinking of you. Can’t wait to hear what you choose!

Here’s a list of some names I like. Most aren’t the same style of [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Kit[/name] so it won’t hurt my feelings if you don’t like them (plus some are really popular). I’d say my style is pretty random, considering I like the surname and girly-girl trend, in addition to classics.

Throw anything and everything out at your husband!

Sorry for any repeats. [name]Hope[/name] you can decide on something!

[name]Love[/name] [name]NELL[/name]! Others that I think would be great that have been suggested:

[name]Nell[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Doe[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Tatum[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Greta[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Willa[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]June[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Frances[/name] ”[name]Fritzi[/name]” [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] ”[name]Bea[/name] or Bixie” [name]Mabel[/name]

Out of curiousity what names does your husband like? What names has he not vetoed?

Some suggestions for first names (sorry if I repeat from previous posts):

[name]Beatrice[/name] (nn [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Trixie[/name])
[name]Evelyn[/name] (nn [name]Evie[/name])
[name]Matilda[/name] (nn [name]Mattie[/name], [name]Tilda[/name], or [name]Tildy[/name])
[name]Penelope[/name] (nn [name]Penny[/name])

I hope you and your husband can settle on a name you both love!

“Wheat back arm chair” is exactly the name I’ve been looking for, thanks!!

More ideas:
[name]Beatrice[/name] nn [name]Bebe[/name] ([name]Bee[/name]-bee) and [name]Berry[/name]
[name]Mariposa[/name] nn [name]Posy[/name], mariposa means “butterfly” in Spanish
Floralie nn [name]Flora[/name] or [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Romany[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name]
Florecita nn [name]Flora[/name] or [name]Fleur[/name]

Many of the above ideas were inspired by my latest [name]Sundance[/name] Jewelry Catalogue. To get more ideas from [name]Sundance[/name] catalog products, go to sundancejewelry.com. There is a whole other website for [name]Sundance[/name]. I think it’s Sundancecatalog.com, but I’m not sure. I’ll find out.

“Wheat back arm chair” is exactly the name I’ve been looking for, thanks!!

Ha! You are funny! But watch me, I’m going to do a thread on Names Inspired by Products. It will be so fun. [name]How[/name] about [name]Lissette[/name], [name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Monty[/name], [name]Faustina[/name], etc.?

Hey ladies. I’m the pigheaded husband. [name]Lizzie[/name] went into labor last night around 2AM and had the kid around 6 this morning. I just brought [name]Ollie[/name] and [name]Kit[/name] from the hospital, and [name]Lizzie[/name] demanded that I write down any of your suggestions I like so that I can head back to the hospital for another long conversation about what this baby will not be named. The way we’re going, the kid should be named by the time she enters 1st grade.

And just for the record to all you strangers out there in cyberspace, it’s NOT my fault. I want all of you to know that [name]Lizzie[/name] is the PICKY one.

She had the baby?! Congratulations to everyone! I hope your wife and the baby are doing well.

I’m afraid it’s just going to be more of the same suggestions (I think she wanted middle names, too), but:

[name]Olive[/name], [name]Kit[/name], and:

[name]Genevieve[/name] (nn [name]Evie[/name])
[name]Georgia[/name] (nn [name]Georgie[/name])
[name]Julia[/name] (nn [name]July[/name], for her birth)
[name]Louisa[/name] (nn [name]Lulu[/name])
[name]Mirabelle[/name] (nn [name]Miri[/name])
[name]Mabel[/name] (nn [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Maisie[/name])
[name]Penelope[/name] (nn [name]Nell[/name] or [name]Poppy[/name])
[name]Sunday[/name] (nn [name]Sunny[/name], which she liked)

(Subliminal message: You will love these suggestions, especially your wife’s favorites like [name]Thea[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Lulu[/name], and [name]Miri[/name]…)

Good luck and best wishes to you and your family!
