Our VERY healthy baby, Olive Faye Nemudrova, was born on September 1st, weighing in at 11 lbs 1 oz.
Regarding her name, it was formed just like her sister’s. Olive was just a name that we loved. We were originally going to go with Alice, since it’s a family name, but Olive was a tad bit spunkier.
Her two middle names are family names. Faye is after my paternal grandmother (since Viola is after my maternal grandmother.) Nemudrova was a hard one. My husband doesn’t know his paternal side, so we went back to his mother’s Russian side. We only really knew the name Valentina, but we had already used it for Holland. We also knew a Maria, but that just wasn’t fun enough or cultural enough for me. Because of this, we went ahead and just used his family’s last name.
Thanks to everyone who helped us with Russian names, specifically with Russian patronymics.
Congrats! I love [name_f]Olive[/name_f]'s name, and the stories behind them too. [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_u]Holland[/name_u] as a sibset is lovely!
