As most of us are well-aware, Oliver has been one of the hottest trending masculine names internationally over the past decade! This popularity, while well-deserved (imo), has (along with other more personal reasons) made me hesitant to use this little gem.
Oliver was first used as a given name in medieval England, so therefore Oliver has always made me think of a shy little boy with scuffed knees, ruffled hair, and little clay soldiers in his pockets <3
So, what are some alternatives to sweet Oliver? What names provide cozy, adorable nicknames akin to Ollie?
Some names with the same medieval vibe that come to mind are; Edmund, Jasper, Robin, and Sylvester
[name_u]Henry[/name_u] “Hal” (equally popular so that probably doesn’t help)

[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] “Connie”
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] “Ian”
