I’m redoing my name lists at the moment and have fallen in love with [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Pia[/name_f]. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] work well as siblings with the nicknames “Pip” and “Pia” or “June” and “Ollie”?
And if this sibset had a brother what would you name him?
I think [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is a lovely choice.
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] is gorgeous it has a classic and elegant feel to it and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is a lovely name as well. They have a whimsical and playful vibe that could work well for siblings.
For a brother I’d go with [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_m]Achilles[/name_m] or [name_u]Leander[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] very much. It was the name of a foreboding physics teacher I had in high school. But I’ve never liked [name_f]Pia[/name_f].
I don’t think [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] match well - [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] is very classic and stately, [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] feels more modern and hippy. [name_f]Pia[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] don’t speak to me either - [name_f]Pia[/name_f] feels like an elderly, devoutly Catholic woman, [name_u]June[/name_u] feels much fresher, more cool.
For a brother… [name_u]Cypress[/name_u] (Cy?) Mythical, classical, nature related.
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] is powerful and unexpected but nn [name_f]Pia[/name_f] softens it! [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] is a nice option too, for a more neutral vibe.
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] make nice set! [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is more popular but it feels ‘enough’ to stand easily beside bold [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] - both share a sort of bright sound.
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and…
[name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] ‘Reggie’ ‘Perry’ ‘Pen/Penn’
[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] ‘Mads’ ‘Dash’ ‘Ads’ ‘Addy’
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] ‘Ollie’ (with [name_u]Pip[/name_u] and Pia) ‘Lo’
[name_m]Perseus[/name_m] ‘Percy’ ‘Perry’
[name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] ‘Asa’ ‘Ace’ ‘Adair’ ‘Dare’
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] ‘Zeph’
[name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m] ‘Andy’ ‘Fin’ ‘Danny’ ‘Dan’
I love [name_f]Olympia[/name_f]! Such a strong and beautiful name. I prefer the nickname [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] but [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is sweet too. [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] feel slightly mismatched stylistically, but I think they’d still make a great pair.
I’d name a brother to [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_u]Florian[/name_u]
I’m not big on the name [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] myself for a couple reasons, mostly because I tend not to like names that begin with O and I find it just a tad too “grand” for my taste, but I see its appeal for other people.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] actually work really well together for me. Sure, [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] has this kind of modern, trendy feel that [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] doesn’t necessarily have but they are linked in other ways. They are both longer, grander names that have multiple nickname options. J and O also aren’t super common nor super rare sounds, and they are linked with the p sound in the middle. Lastly, [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] of course has an obvious nature connection while [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] reminds me of the Olympic peninsula (which has junipers!).
I’m not a big sibset kinda person so I can’t really help there haha.
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] is gorgeous 🪭
She’s elegant, strong, majestic and has this regality ancient feel. [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] oozes grace and I think feels bold, impactful and grand. I love the nickname [name_f]Pia[/name_f] as she’s so playful and gives a less serious vibe to [name_f]Olympia[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] + [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] make a surprising sister set. [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] feels grand and purposeful whereas [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is more bohemian and carefree. However I love when people choose names because they love them rather than overly focusing on sibling set cohesion, popularity etc. So even though I wouldn’t pair [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] + [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] together I love them.
I would name their brother [name_m]Achille[/name_m], [name_u]Blaise[/name_u], [name_u]Sorrel[/name_u], [name_u]Florian[/name_u] + I love @marysia of [name_u]Cypress[/name_u].
I adore [name_f]Olympia[/name_f]! To me it’s grand, goddessy and gorgeous. It feels warm, but in a solar, bronzy way. I think [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is a super adorable nn! Unexpected and it really softens the majestic feel of [name_f]Olympia[/name_f]. I know a woman named [name_f]Pia[/name_f] and she is the sweetest person, so to me [name_f]Pia[/name_f] is a wonderful nn!
And [name_u]Pip[/name_u] is just the cutest!
To me [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] has more of a dark academia energy. While [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] is golden and goddessy, [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] has a feeling of fairies, fog, dark forests, sculptures covered in ivy. It’s absolutely lovely and I adore the nn [name_u]June[/name_u] (I actually even prefer Junie). [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is a bit trendy rn, but whatever, I think they make a cute sibset!
I’m thinking [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], [name_m]Cornelius[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Cassius[/name_m], [name_m]Elvar[/name_m], [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], [name_m]Daphnis[/name_m], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u], [name_u]Auberon[/name_u], [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u], [name_m]Cyprian[/name_m], [name_m]Cedric[/name_m], [name_m]Victor[/name_m] for their brother.
