my first thought was EE-vie, but my friend named her little one [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], and pronounce her nn Eh-vie

I also first thought of EE-vie, but know people who are named [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and they pronounce it Eh-vee

I’m in the southern US. I would think EE-vee. The two girls I know who pronounce it eh-vee spell it [name_f]Evy[/name_f].

I knew an [name_f]Evie[/name_f] who said it EE-vee so that’s how I’ve always said it. I’m from [name_f]England[/name_f], [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Evie[/name_f], and really wish it was less popular here :(.

This is only ever Ee-vee, of course!

For me…

[name_f]Evie[/name_f] = EE-vee
[name_f]Evi[/name_f]/[name_f]Evvie[/name_f]/[name_f]Evy[/name_f] = EH-vee

From Australia and I say eevie

Iam in Greece and here we pronounce [name_f]Evie[/name_f] --> EH - vee . I actaully know a girl with name that pronounce it like that (her full name is [name_f]Evangelia[/name_f] ) . I pronounce [name_f]Hebe[/name_f] as EE-vee .

I say EE-vee, and I’m from one of the mid-Atlantic states. I love EV-ee, too, but for some reason I tend to think that should be spelled [name_f]Evey[/name_f] (although that really doesn’t make any sense, since [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is right there in the (nick)name!). I know some people do spell EV-ee as [name_f]Evie[/name_f], but EE-vee is just so ingrained in me that it’s hard for me to see it (or remember to say it). I don’t know any Evies/Evas/etc., though, so it really hasn’t been a problem so far. I’m sure if I did meet an EV-ee spelled [name_f]Evie[/name_f], I would adjust pretty quickly.

I’ve never even heard the EH-vee pronunciation, is I would say EE-vee - I’m in [name_f]England[/name_f].

I’m from northeast US, and I’d say Eevee. But either pronunciation is adorable!
