I have mixed feelings for the name [name_m]George[/name_m], I want to love it, it fits perfectly with my tastes, but yet, it doesn’t give me the same feelings that [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m] seem to. I love that [name_m]Will[/name_m]&[name_f]Kate[/name_f] used it on their son, (I love [name_m]Royal[/name_m] names), so that doesn’t bother me, but I don’t know whether to love [name_m]George[/name_m], or hate it? (Not gonna lie, a slight memory of [name_m]George[/name_m] of the Jungle pops into my mind when i hear it…).
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m]! I can’t really see me with a [name_m]George[/name_m], but I would be happy to meet one. I agree that it’s grown on me after [name_m]Will[/name_m] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] used it (besides, how handsome is [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Louis[/name_m]?!). I think it has loads of personality, and [name_m]Geo[/name_m] and [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] are really adorable nicknames! I don’t find it stuffy–and I don’t think of [name_m]George[/name_m] of the Jungle, either, although I think a little boy would get a kick out of it.
In my experience, I feel like if you want to love it but don’t really love it, then that’s a sign. You don’t have to love every name out there, or even every name that suits your style. It’s better to truly love something than to force yourself into loving something. Maybe you could use [name_m]George[/name_m] as a middle, if you want to love it that much? That’s what I’ve done–I can’t see me with a [name_m]George[/name_m] but love the name, so I’ve opted for [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m].
I like it but can never use it. It’s one of those names I like and would put on the list but would never be the final name. I don’t find it boring, I think its becoming a posh name due to the Royals. I love his name - [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Louis[/name_m].
@ashthedreamer/lovelygenevieve [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Louis[/name_m] is definitely a [name_m]George[/name_m] combo I adore Could be because I still have a slight crush on [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m], and that causes me to pretty well adore everything he does…oops
I don’t really like [name_m]George[/name_m] but I don’t find it stuffy, either. I see it as very unpretentious and down-to-earth, actually.
I’ve known young men named it, but all Eastern European chain-smokers. The rest were mostly Greeks/ex-Soviet Bloc guys in their 50s at least. I don’t associate it as a British name, particularly, despite the royal family. It lets you rest up for a five-syllable surname.
The ones I know have brothers named things like [name_m]Dmitry[/name_m], which actually I prefer.
I am also on the fence about [name_m]George[/name_m]. I used to be quite indifferent to the name [name_m]George[/name_m].Recently, it is a name that I have been thinking about more and I am starting to like (probably due to this sweet and adorable actor named [name_m]George[/name_m] Blagden, who also sings really well.) I have even considered putting it on my list, the combo would be [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] which I love. Yet, at the end of the day I can’t quite picture me with a [name_m]George[/name_m]. So I would think about it for a little while and see if you will grow to love it. I dont find itto be stuffy but all in all, a very nice name.
