Once again I am faced with not knowing what to names to pick....Help

We are expecting number 8 at the end of [name_f]May[/name_f], gender unknown. I am a terrible decision maker in all areas of life, but especially when it comes to giving a name for a new person. My list grows only to find that I really didn’t write down anything that I loved, just thought it sounded okay at the moment…sigh…

Since I haven’t really narrowed anything down anyway, I thought I would just see what others suggested based on my info.

I got myself stuck with a pattern (stupid me)…we lean toward Biblical names (Hebrew, Greek, Latin) with strong meaning. I obviously like the ah/iah sound (probably a little to much at this point) or at least a softer sounding name. All the names (first and middle) with the exception of our niece have 5 syllables (It just started out that way and I couldn’t seem to break it after the 4th one). There is only one that has never got into the top 1000, two that are in the middle range, but the rest were all in the top 100 when first named and moved up steadily.
Our last name starts with an A and is 2 syllables.

We have in order:

[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] (b)
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] [name_u]Logan[/name_u] (b)
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] (b)
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] (g) (she is my niece who lives with us, most likely permanent and if that is the case her middle might become [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] which [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is a diminutive of)
[name_f]Charis[/name_f] [name_f]Zariah[/name_f] (g)
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] (unknown)(angel baby at 12wks)
[name_f]Selah[/name_f] Nariah (g)
[name_m]Nehemiah[/name_m] [name_u]Seth[/name_u] (b)

Thank you for the suggestions…some we had talked about, some are different. I will show hubby and see if anything makes an impression. WHY is it so hard?!

@salyluz - it is difficult to find the right name for a child I think. I know it felt like we took a long time deciding on a name and we’ve only named one so far, is there any way that you could maybe take the top 2 or 3 choices with you to the hospital and choose one you meet LO?

Continuing with the 5 syllable trend in your family, I think it’s time to mix up the name-length to include one syllable firsts for your sib-set, especially if your new little one is a boy. Here are my suggestions:

[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m]
[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]Ebenezer[/name_m] (though [name_m]Ebenezer[/name_m] has never been top 1000)
[name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_m]Obadiah[/name_m] (" ")
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Leviticus[/name_m] (obviously not a top 1000, but it’s definitely familiar enough via the book, and you could come by the nn [name_m]Levi[/name_m])
If you think [name_m]Joel[/name_m] can pass as a full two syllables, you could do [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]

[name_f]Moselle[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] (or [name_f]Mozelle[/name_f] [name_f]Avital[/name_f]) ([name_f]Mozelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Moselle[/name_f] used to be a top 1000, and I for one would like for it to make a comeback. Nn “Mozi” or “[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]”?)
[name_f]Moselle[/name_f] [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]

Oops, I just re-read and saw you already have [name_u]Seth[/name_u] as a middle. My comment still stands, though about the length.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] for a girl, I think it’s beautiful,also [name_f]Delilah[/name_f].
For boys
[name_m]Ozias[/name_m]
[name_m]Hezekiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m]
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Samson[/name_m]

[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] (Hebrew for [name_f]Esther[/name_f])

[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]
[name_u]Michael[/name_u]

I’m sure these have been suggested somewhere but …

I love [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] ([name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]?) and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] ([name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]?) with your sibset.

Good luck!
