I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m]! It is a great combo - [name_u]Jude[/name_u] & [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] really complement eachother. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is strong, lively, upbeat and happy and [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] feels like a powerful & masculine [name_m]King[/name_m]. [name_m]Peter[/name_m] would be my distant second choice. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] just make me think of “hairy”.
These are all such great names! I actually don’t think I can fill out the poll because I like them all.
Based on the other names you love, as written in your signature - I think I would steer away from [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. The reason being that [name_u]Jude[/name_u] comes off (to me at least) as a bit of a trendy name. This could also swing twin sister [name_f]Coral[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f] or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] from being viewed as a classic name to a trendy name. It seems that you like a lot of classic names, so if you had more kids in the future I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] sounds like a mismatch. [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] do sound like siblings though (And [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_f]Opal[/name_f] are my favourite twin names due to the subtle p-sound connection, [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_f]Coral[/name_f] second).
That being said - [name_u]Jude[/name_u] isn’t so out there that you can’t make it work.
Well that probably wasn’t much help. But I don’t think you can go wrong!
This is difficult. [name_m]Peter[/name_m]'s definitely my favourite first, and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] is an awesome middle, but the double -er ending hasn’t got the best flow. But [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] is handsome too, so that’d be my choice.
I love both [name_m]Harry[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m], and I’m not at all a fan of [name_m]Mathias[/name_m], but I also don’t like the double -er of [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] so I voted for [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m].
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m]!
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] feels too on-trend and cool. He’s nice enough in the middle, and it’s no surprise at all that he’s winning the poll, but I’ve just had enough of [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. Everybody loves him, he’s a crowd-pleaser, a radio-hit that almost everyone loves because it must be good, they’re always playing it on the radio.
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] has more staying power, and I love him with [name_f]Coral[/name_f] which is my favourite of your girl options. I love how the R in both [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_f]Coral[/name_f] ties them together, I love how they’re both quite unexpected and underused for children today, I love their warm, comfortable feel.
The double -er ending with [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] trips me up, and I always found [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] cartoonish and syrupy, like a suger-overload. (I imagine touching [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] written down and get a sugary mess stuck to my fingers.) I just can’t take [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] seriously.
I love [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] just about equally, but I like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] as a given name a bit more than [name_u]Jude[/name_u], so [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] is getting my vote. All are lovely options, though, and you really can’t go wrong.
I voted [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m], I love the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u]! I think it’s strong and fresh. I like [name_m]Mathias[/name_m] more than [name_m]Lysander[/name_m], [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] just seems like an odd take on [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] to me.
For a first name I chose [name_m]Harry[/name_m], but how do you say [name_m]Mathias[/name_m]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you say ma-TIY-us, [name_u]MAT[/name_u]-ee-us or otherwise?
I’ve never been able to pick myself - they are currently my top 2 as you see from my signature. As a twin to [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] I’d go with [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. They are both so classic and regal sounding. If you went with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] as I see in your signature I think I’d go with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] as they both are more offbeat.
