We need a middle name for our little girl that honours two family members - [name_f]Rolanda[/name_f] and [name_u]James[/name_u]. Any ideas?
For [name_f]Rolanda[/name_f]:
[name_f]Orlanda[/name_f], [name_f]Carola[/name_f], [name_f]Rolande[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f],
For [name_u]James[/name_u]:
[name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_f]Jamilla[/name_f], [name_u]Jamison[/name_u], [name_f]Jamima[/name_f]
The only name I can think of that combines both is [name_f]Ronja[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolanta[/name_f] or [name_f]Jolantha[/name_f] or [name_f]Jolanda[/name_f]? They’re real names that mean “[name_f]Violet[/name_f].”
Or [name_f]Jacaranda[/name_f], a beautiful flowering tree.
You could do a mash up ~ [name_m]Rome[/name_m], [name_u]Jan[/name_u].
You could do a begins with J ends with R name - [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m].
jAMes + rol[name_f]ANDA[/name_f] = [name_f]Amanda[/name_f]
Maybe [name_f]Jada[/name_f]? [name_u]JAmes[/name_u], rolanDA
Or maybe combine the meaning of the names? I’m not really sure how to combine meanings “supplanter” and “famous land.” If you find a way, maybe “new land??” just search it in the name finder! Good luck!!
[name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]/[name_u]Laney[/name_u]
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f], [name_f]Jana[/name_f], [name_u]Joan[/name_u], [name_f]Anja[/name_f] and [name_f]Jada[/name_f] are a few that come to mind that use letters from both names.
[name_f]Jolanda[/name_f], Rémy (basically [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] with an ‘R’), [name_u]Romy[/name_u], [name_f]Jola[/name_f], Janda, [name_f]Jada[/name_f], [name_u]Ray[/name_u] / [name_u]Rae[/name_u], [name_f]Jana[/name_f], [name_f]Jani[/name_f], [name_f]Andreja[/name_f].
Thanks, everyone! They are hard times to combine. Maybe I’ll try something hyphenated, like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-[name_u]James[/name_u].
[name_m]Just[/name_m] use “RJ” I think that would be closest to honouring both names.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]…? The J from [name_u]James[/name_u] and the “ol” sound from [name_f]Rolanda[/name_f].
