One or two Middle Names for "Gigi"???

My third child, first girl is due in a month. We’ve had her name nailed down since we were first pregnant with our first son 5 years ago, as her first name honors my mother, and second name honors my husband’s mother.

Her name is to be:

[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] McLastname

We will call/nickname her “[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]” after the two G names.

HOWEVER, our 4 year old is obsessed with the name [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (long story but totally obsessed), and my husband’s grandmother was [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and his godmother/aunt who never had kids is middle named [name_f]Rose[/name_f]…and this is our last child, SO, we are considering adding [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as the second middle name, but still calling her [name_f]Gigi[/name_f].

So:
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] McCormick “[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]”

Our first son already has two middle names, and my husband does too, so we are used to it. I am just afraid that we were so settled on only [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] which makes the nickname “[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]” obvious and clean, and perhaps its too much adding [name_f]Rose[/name_f], or complicating the nickname. But at the same time, would be nice to honor another woman in our life. This is our LAST baby. And its adorable how much my son is into his baby sister’s name.

What do you all think?

I don’t think the [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] complicates the nn “[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]” at all…it flows wonderfully, I would definitely use it:)

I would definitely add [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! I don’t think it complicates the nickname either, and it sounds like it’s got a lot of meaning to you. And [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] is a super cute nickname!

I don’t think it complicates the nickname. It seems like it’s all pros and no cons for adding [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

This. As long as you like it, use it. It flows nicely and doesn’t complicate anything.

Another vote for adding [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. It sounds like you have lots of compelling reasons to do it, and I really don’t think it diminishes [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] in the least.

I would definitely add [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is the perfect name for your little [name_f]Gigi[/name_f].

[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds sweet! I prefer it over just [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m]. Besides, then you can call her [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!

Thank you ladies!

I think it’s still clear that the nn is [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and it’d be lovely to include [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I would 100% use [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_m]Garvey[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very pretty and doesn’t interfere with the nickname [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] at all. (Also, I’d like to add that I love your son’s names!)
