So, was looking around at another name website, that allows people with a particular name to report their experience with having that name (I’m sure you know it, I can’t think of the name of it right now). Found a lovely twist on the name [name]Caleb[/name] I had never thought of in the 20 years or so that I have loved the name. Several people reported getting teased with “[name]Gay[/name]-leb” in school. I’d prefer not to make school any more difficult for my son than needed, but I do still love the name. Anyway, I am not sold on changing the first name just based on that, but I have a smidgen of doubt now.
The other name DH and I have agreed on and love is [name]Luke[/name] (apparently Pukey Lukey is another nickname well known on the playground, but oh well!). Only problem is that the two MN choices we have are: [name]Paul[/name] and [name]James[/name] (based on DH’s family tree). What do you name lovers think about two single syllable names back to back like that? Our last name is two syllables and similar in sound to Danson. [name]Just[/name] curious. Oh yeah, and DS’s name is [name]Noah[/name] [name]David[/name] (yes, I know it is three 2 syllable names…just worked out that way b/c of family names, and we love it!) Thanks so much for your time and thoughts!
I prefer [name]Caleb[/name] to [name]Luke[/name]. I wouldnt worry abot the gay-leb thing. I’ve never known a [name]Caleb[/name] to be teased for his name. [name]Luke[/name] is okay but far more likely to get associated with puke in a childs mind. There is also [name]Lucas[/name]…but I suppose that rhymes with mucus
I say stick with [name]Caleb[/name]. [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Caleb[/name] are super handsome together.
I like [name]Caleb[/name] [name]Luke[/name] or [name]Caleb[/name] [name]James[/name]
