[name_m]Levi[/name_m] - I love this name! I’m a little sad it’s grown so much in popularity though. It’s short, it’s strong, (for me) I like the biblical reference.
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] - again I like the biblical reference (might not be for everyone), I think it’s recent popularity is tied to Pretty [name_m]Little[/name_m] Liars character. At first I was just so so on the name, but has definitely grown on me.
[name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] - I can’t get out of my mind this is the name of the computer in Iron [name_m]Man[/name_m] (I’m pretty sure or a computer in a different movie). For me, that hang up would be too much, too mechanical reference.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - classic name that will never go out of style. Has built in nn if you want to use one, [name_m]Dan[/name_m]/[name_u]Danny[/name_u].
[name_u]August[/name_u] - I know a lot of berries here like this name, for me it’s almost too literal to be born in [name_u]August[/name_u] and that’s your name as well. [name_m]Just[/name_m] iffy on this one.
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - same comment as for [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]; nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u]/[name_u]Sammy[/name_u]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] - I love this name, this name will wear well as he gets older
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] - same comments as [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]; [name_m]Tom[/name_m]/[name_m]Tommy[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m] - great name, again classic and won’t go out of style. i think it fits at any stage of life too.
[name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] - I feel that it is over used, I can probably quickly name off 12 I know and another 6 with some thinking. It has a great meaning and sound, which is why it is so popular.
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] - I still think of [name_m]Casper[/name_m] the friendly ghost at first thought, but I don’t think that connection will be made for his generation. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t hate it, but not my favorite.
[name_m]Ryland[/name_m] - I’d go with the “d” ending, fees more complete and mature. I like this, it feels fresh and new.
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u] - all the “aiden” sounding names I feel are recently overused. Personally I’d steer clear, but if it’s one you love it’s a good name.
[name_u]Drew[/name_u] - I like this one more for a girl now… Or more for a boy mn. [name_m]Just[/name_m] probably due to why I’ve looked at lately.
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] - short and strong too. I feel this one as a mn as well.
[name_u]Reid[/name_u] - I like it, it’s simple and can grow with him.
[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] - I’m not sure why, maybe a movie at some point, but I associate this name with an antagonist character name. Prob just me. It’s interesting to see a soft “c” boy name. Definitely growing in popularity so it’s not obscure, but not overly popular.
[name_m]Holden[/name_m] - I like this one, I don’t see an obvious nn, so if that’s something you’d want maybe a different name. This one is wearable and fits at any age.
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] - same comments as for [name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] - he will definitely be called [name_u]Max[/name_u] by friends, if you like that then yay, it’s a great name.
[name_m]Soren[/name_m] - I’ve only heard of this name since looking up names here on Nameberry. It’s still a little odd to my ear, hearing “sore” in a name. But not hating it.
[name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] - from an American perspective, I don’t think it would work. If you live somewhere else maybe. I’m not a fan. Other kids will have a harder time reading/saying it, and will prob be misspelled, imo.
My favorite is [name_m]William[/name_m], and can use the nick name [name_m]Liam[/name_m].
