I voted [name_f]Ava[/name_f] because it’s beautiful, simple and all the other names could be nicknames for it. Have you thought of [name_f]Aviana[/name_f]? It’s the actress [name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_m]Adams[/name_m]’ daughter’s name. I think it’s nice and would sound beautiful with [name_u]Reese[/name_u] as a middle name.
I voted for [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] is sweet and I really liked [name_f]Ava[/name_f] :). My second choice would be Avalie but what about [name_f]Avalon[/name_f]? [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] flows well too imo
Thanks everyone!! [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] is the name that’s been on our list from the beginning so I feel like if we don’t use it we will regret it. I’ve recently fell in love with [name_f]Avie[/name_f] though, and afraid I would regret not using it! I do think [name_f]Avie[/name_f] is a great combination of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_u]Reese[/name_u] for a nickname, so that would probably be my best bet. I just worry about the popularity of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] because we have an incredibly common last name.
I voted on [name_f]Ava[/name_f]! I would also back up the suggestion of calling her [name_f]Avie[/name_f] as a nickname because it’s so cute! Have you considered something like Avaliegh {[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-lee} [name_u]Averil[/name_u] {Av-ril}Avalya {[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-lie-a} Avala, Avalu {[name_f]Ava[/name_f]-lou} [name_f]Avalyn[/name_f] {[name_f]Ave[/name_f]-lyn} Avalie {A-vay-lee} or Avaya? Those are all cute names, and aren’t too popular.
Good luck!
P.S. Sorry for the terrible grammar! I’m not stupid, I promise!!
I have considered Avaleigh but in a previous post everyone recommended the Avalie spelling to avoid the “tacky” [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] ending. I don’t think it’s tacky…either way it’s spelled it’s pronounced the same so I don’t see that it makes a HUGE difference. I am so torn between these names though!!!
Thank you! I do love the name [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u], but [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Avie[/name_f] because it’s so similar but different enough that there probably wouldn’t be another in her class at some point.
[name_m]Trust[/name_m] me, with all of the options aside from [name_f]Ava[/name_f], you will run into pronunciation issues since there are so many ways to pronounce Avielle, Avalie, etc. But with [name_f]Ava[/name_f], it’s completely 100% intuitive. People won’t pronounce it differently unless they’ve truly never seen the name before, simply because alternate pronunciations aren’t in use. So I would definitely go with [name_f]Ava[/name_f].
I vote [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_u]Reese[/name_u]. Classic and lovely, fits a little girl and a grown up. Use whatever nickname you like while she’s little, and then when she’s grown she has a name that in itself is not diminutive.
The ones that end in the EE sound make the whole name to rhymey-chimey for me.
I’m a bit tired of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] at this point. It’s very overused in my area. Really like [name_f]Avia[/name_f] and Avielle, and I second the idea of [name_f]Aviana[/name_f].
Really love Avielle. It’s incredibly fresh, not too “childish” and it sounds cute with [name_u]Reese[/name_u]. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] as a name is too common, and I’m incredibly jaded to it. Besides, no reason why an Avielle can’t go by [name_f]Ava[/name_f]/[name_f]Avie[/name_f] if she pleases when she’s older.
