Ok, so now I’m panicking. My husband and I cant seem to figure out what we want to name our daughter.
Please give me a few of your thoughts on these names:
Halo [name]Love[/name]
[name]Harlow[/name] [name]Belle[/name]
Harloquinn (nickname could be [name]Quinn[/name] or Lo)
Or anything unusual and pretty would be great!! Thanks in advance!!!
Pretty names! I love all 3, but I prefer Harloquinn spelt Harlequin. I think that Halo is a very pretty, different name. I’ve always liked Harlo(w).
Halo [name]Love[/name] is a gorgeous combination, very unique yet it doesn’t sound made up.
[name]Harlow[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is also very pretty - [name]Harlow[/name] can sometimes seem a bit masculine and [name]Belle[/name] gives it a nice girly touch.
My favourite would be Harloquinn (Harlequin!) especially with the nn [name]Quinn[/name]. [name]Harley[/name] is cute too, although it might be a bit too masculine.
Also, what do you think of [name]Hero[/name]?
If I was your daughter I would be very happy with any of your chosen names.
I think [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is the best of your options. Halo reminds me of the game series, then angels, unfortunately! XD ([name]Just[/name] shows what being around teenage males will do to you). It also seems very nicknamey; perhaps you would like [name]Halle[/name] or [name]Haley[/name], with the nickname Halo? Also, the repeating “L” sound in Halo [name]Love[/name] trips up the flow. I must advise against Harloquinn. A harlequin is a french jester/clown, and something tells me that name will be in for a lot of teasing! o_O If you insist on it, I prefer it spelled the original way: Harlequin (You can still use the nicknames [name]Harlow[/name] or [name]Quinn[/name]). [name]Harlow[/name] does seem very masculine on a little girl. Perhaps you would like [name]Willow[/name]? [name]Willow[/name] [name]Belle[/name] seems more elegant to me, and sort of Southern gal, too!
Further Suggestions:
[name]Willow[/name] [name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Harlow[/name] [name]Belle[/name] would be my choice(I would spell it like that but of course it is your call)! Very pretty. I agree with the previous poster about Halo being so connected to the video game and Harloquinn sounds like the romance books to me Congrads - not too much longer!!
Halo [name]Love[/name]- I think I would like either Halo or [name]Love[/name] with an established name to balance it out, but together I think it’s too much. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Harley[/name]? I think [name]Harley[/name] [name]Love[/name] is adorable. [name]How[/name] about Halo [name]Clover[/name]?
[name]Harlow[/name] [name]Belle[/name]- This is really sweet. By far my favorite of your choices.
Harloquinn-
har”le”quin (h”rl-kwn, -kn)
n.
Harlequin A conventional buffoon of the commedia dell’arte, traditionally presented in a mask and parti-colored tights.
A clown; a buffoon.
Can you imagine the teasing? Not to mention the romance novels, and the fact that no one would ever spell it right. I’m sorry to be so negative about it, but I feel you need to realize how cruel it would be to name your daughter Harloquinn.
Some more ideas-
Halo [name]Cadence[/name]
Halo [name]May[/name]
Halo [name]Jane[/name]
Halo [name]June[/name]
Halo [name]Grace[/name]
Halo [name]Rose[/name]
Halo [name]Pearl[/name]
What about [name]Marlow[/name] or [name]Marlowe[/name] (nn could be [name]Marley[/name]). Having said that I love [name]Harlow[/name] and I also love [name]Quinn[/name] for a girl!
I think Harlequinn is also a skin or genetic disease of some sort. But [name]Quinn[/name] is cool.
I like [name]Harlow[/name]/e and [name]Marlow[/name]/e but Halo [name]Love[/name] gets me stuck at lo lo. I agree that [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is very pretty as well.
Thanks everyone for your opinions! I still feel confused…this one is overwhelming for me for some strange reason! My 22 month old son is named [name]Kingston[/name] [name]Phoenix[/name]. That one was easy. I’m even debating whether going with [name]Brooklyn[/name] [name]Love[/name] for this little girl!! I seem to like names of places
My husband and I wanted to go with something completely unusual (thats why Halo [name]Love[/name] came in to play), so if anyone has any other funky suggestions I would greatly appreciate them!
Thanks again!!
Oh yeah and Harlequin’s Disease is a terrible skin disease that used to kill almost every baby that was born with it until they found a way to get rid of the excess skin. It’s still a painful disease that requires daily scrubbing to remove the fast growing skin.
[name]How[/name] about [name]Eden[/name]? Or [name]Shiloh[/name]?
i love very unusual name, too. and I love your son’s name, [name]Kingston[/name]. I don’t have time right now, but I’ll be back later with a longer list. Did you look at all the lists they have on here? There’s Place Names Off the Map, Biblical Place Names, New [name]York[/name] Neighborhood Names, and more than that, too, I’m sure. I just wanted to chime in for now with:
Lexington- nickname [name]Lexi[/name] is cute! For a while in high school, my best friend and I vowed that whoever had a daughter first would name her Lexington… but she used [name]Mackenzie[/name] instead.
Cloverly- that’s a big street and a shopping center near where I am, I think it would adorable as a name
Hey thanks “lyndsayjenness”! I really like those suggestions, Lexington is cute! And my husband thinks [name]Lexi[/name] is a cute nickname. Let me know if you got anymore!!! I will tell him about Cloverly too…cute and very different!
I also love the name [name]Madison[/name], too bad it is soooooo popular right now. I dont want my baby to go through school being one of three [name]Madison[/name]'s in her class!! My husband’s name is [name]Mike[/name] and he hated having to use his last name to be identified all the time!
I think I will scrap the Harloquinn idea, I would hate for my girl to be thought of as a skin disease! (I didnt even know that, and most of my family are in the medical field!) I just thought it would be different and cute. Nicknames could be [name]Quinn[/name] or Harlo.
If anyone has anything else to add for original cute girl names please let me know!
[name]Lexi[/name] is super cute, but [name]Kingston[/name] and Lexington sounds too repetitive to me…
What about just [name]Lexi[/name], or [name]Alexi[/name]/[name]Alexis[/name] and call her [name]Lexi[/name]?
What about Quinnlan, with [name]Quinn[/name] for short? ‘[name]Kingston[/name] and Quinnlan’ sounds good. I also still think [name]Harlow[/name] is nice in combination with your son’s name.
Not trying to be me mean at all, but [name]Brooklyn[/name] [name]Love[/name] sounds like it could be the name of an exotic dancer or adult star or something… Sorry!
Not sure where you are at in terms of the original names you listed. I do like [name]Harlow[/name]. I think it goes nicely with [name]Kingston[/name]. What about a middle name? Here are a few more names.
[name]Do[/name] you like the name [name]Hollis[/name]? It is very cool and sounds kind of like Harlo and Halo. Harlo or Halo could be her nickname. After all my daughter is named [name]Laura[/name] and her nicknames are Voo, Voovie and Miss Voo. [name]How[/name] odd is that? I also love the name [name]Harper[/name]. My son has a really good friend named [name]Harper[/name]. [name]Both[/name] [name]Hollis[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] would be great power names for the work world.
