Only girl to 3 bros

The nameberries have never let me down, so here goes! I have 3 boys that all go by their middles… First name is a family classic and middle is more fun with maybe a nickname.

J@mes [name_u]Collier[/name_u]
Willi@m [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m]
Ch@rles [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]

They go by
“Collier, [name_m]Fitz[/name_m], and Shep”

Looking for a classic but fun girls name with a cute nickname to compliment brothers… but not one that’s overly used or too popular.

Names I like:
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] “Goldie”
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] “Elle” or “Laidy”
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] “Georgie”

Other names I like:
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] (can’t use)
[name_u]Louise[/name_u] (could use in middle)
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]

ANY feedback/advice/suggestions appreciated.
This would be a blue-eyed blonde girlie and we live in southeast US, if that matters!

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is stunning! And I love the nickname [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] - she fits in so well with the brothers!

Thank you! We live in [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], so trying to decide if it can work?!

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] name, and I feel like “Goldie” goes well with the other nicknames.

I think it would work. What about [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]?
From your list, I adore [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] nn [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] or [name_u]Georgie[/name_u]. I believe it matches what you are looking for! [name_m]Classic[/name_m] but uncommon, sweet but powerful, feminine and elegant, with a charismatic nickname.

With your boys’ names, maybe:

[name_u]Laurel[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] “Susie, [name_f]Anna[/name_f], maybe Lore”
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] “Louie” could be cute with bros but if you want her to stand out in a feminine way, maybe not.
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] “Retti, [name_f]Addy[/name_f], Laidy,”
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] “Georgie, [name_u]Jackie[/name_u], Linny”
[name_f]Jayne[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] “Em, Linny”
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] “Georgie, [name_f]Lainey[/name_f], Ellie”
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] [name_f]Georgette[/name_f] “Lil, [name_u]Georgie[/name_u], Ettie,”

Hopefully these help

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] ‘Goldie’ is charming and lovely - and fits with perfectly with [name_u]Collier[/name_u], [name_m]Fitz[/name_m] and Shep!!

I think [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is lovely too - but not [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_f]Laidy[/name_f] (esp with your boys?) Maybe Affy or [name_f]Della[/name_f]?

A few other ideas:

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Zoey[/name_f] ‘Cosy’ ‘Cozy’
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] ‘Bee/Bea’
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] ‘Sunny’
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] ‘Tiggy’ ‘Tabby’ ‘Tattie’
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] ‘Romy’
[name_f]Josette[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] ‘Jett’
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] ‘Lilou’ ‘Lilla’

Great choices! Either of them works perfectly well with your boys’ names.

More ideas:
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - you kind of get [name_f]Norah[/name_f] from [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] too
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Georgette[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]

Great names so far!

[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought is wondering if you could/should repeat the pattern: first name as family name, second name being the one you use and from whence the nickname derives? (Am assuming [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] aren’t family names - wondering if they should be in second spot when they’re being used as the nickname name?)

As for the list, [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is my fave! [name_u]Love[/name_u] both those names but again wonder if [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] should be in second spot? Either way, I would use “Daisy” or “Lady” (would probably use this spelling) for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f].

I really like [name_f]Goldie[/name_f], but I wonder if [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] will also - and potentially more immediately - get “Gigi” given the two G’s? Maybe I’m just not the biggest [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] fan but it also doesn’t seem like you need [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] to use [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] (if that was even a factor?!). Could [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] be a possibility? [name_f]Frances[/name_f] goes so well with the boys’ firsts.

Other names I like* that have cute nicknames to go with the boys (which again, I’d think about putting any of these in second spot to match boy pattern):

[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] “Tabby”, “Tibby”
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f], “Nell”, “Posey”, “Polly”
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “Josie”, “Posey”, “Poppy”
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] - “Tilly”, “Tilda”
Helen/Helena/Eleanor/Lenore - “Leni”, “Laina”
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - “Peggy”, “Maisie”, “Daisy”, “Maggie”
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] - “Betty”, “Lily”, Beth”, “Birdie”
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] - “Tully”, Lulu” (a nice nod to [name_u]Louise[/name_u] too)

*Deliberately not chosen C, F or S names.

[name_u]Or[/name_u] you could go even closer pattern and use a family name for first and an historical last name/social roles for the middle that can also have cute, complementary nickname. For eg, assuming for a minute that the names you love and the ones I’ve listed are family names:

[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_u]Abbott[/name_u] - “Abbey”
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_u]Ashby[/name_u] - “Ash” (though hard not to use a [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] nickname!)
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] - “Bella”
[name_u]Louise[/name_u] [name_u]Darby[/name_u] - “Darby”
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] - “Della”, “Laney”
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Halliday[/name_f] - “Hallie”, “Daisy” etc etc, you get the idea, something classic for first (and ideally an honour) followed by an unusual middle for the nickname.

Anyway, look forward to seeing what you pick!:sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

Thank you! [name_u]Love[/name_u] “Della” for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]!

Thank you!

Fave with the set is [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] by a mile. Adorable

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! We don’t have many girls in our family, so family names are sparse and the ones we do have aren’t my favorite, unfortunately!

I love the name [name_f]Frances[/name_f], but unfortunately, our close friends chose it for their daughter, so that’s unusable to us, too. Ideally, there would be a 1920s first name to compliment the boys’ first names, but I haven’t found one I love yet- and many of those girls names have come back in popularity, which is also a major turn off to me, for some reason.

Going to keep working on the first spot- you’re right- there may be something that works better than [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]!

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] in the middle seems like the way to go with “Goldie” nn though.

Thanks so much!

I love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] with your boys! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite nn for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], but I’m also a big [name_f]Adie[/name_f] (AY-dee) fan. The wife of one of my favorite musicians is named [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] nn [name_f]Adie[/name_f] (same pronunciation) and I always liked it for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] too. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_f]Laidy[/name_f] are nice, too.

I don’t love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] as much with your boys, but I do love [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] as a combo! I actually think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is super cute next to [name_u]Collier[/name_u], [name_m]Fitz[/name_m], and [name_m]Shep[/name_m] too.

A few random ideas with [name_u]Collier[/name_u], [name_m]Fitz[/name_m], and [name_m]Shep[/name_m]:

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], but I think she’s super sweet with your boys!)
[name_f]Susanna[/name_f] (I think [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_f]Sosie[/name_f] are adorable nns for Susanna)
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
Tess(a)
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Thalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Katharine[/name_f]
[name_u]Esme[/name_u]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]

Good luck!
