Open to suggestions:

We have a daughter [name]Elliot[/name] [name]Nicole[/name]. Last name single syllable and ends in s.

I am due in [name]April[/name] with a boy, and naming the little tyke is proving slightly complicated. I am not really in [name]LOVE[/name] with ANY boy names yet… but here is our current maybe list: (your opinions are highly coveted.)

[name]Cooper[/name] is my favorite this week, but the list just keeps getting more frustrating. I would like to find a 3 syllable that I like, but that is proving obnoxious. HELP please!!

I think [name]Cooper[/name] is great with [name]Elliot[/name]! I like the idea of a surname style name for a brother to a girl [name]Elliot[/name].

[name]Hezekiah[/name] & [name]Uriah[/name] are my least favorites. [name]Way[/name] to old timey next to modern sister. Plus [name]Uriah[/name] reminds me of urine.

[name]Ryker[/name] reminds me of prison & [name]Seeley[/name] is an unusual choice that doesn’t flow for me unless it has great personal significance.

I like [name]Finn[/name] or [name]Finnegan[/name] most.

With a girl named [name]Elliot[/name], you need a strong sounding boys name. I like [name]Cooper[/name], [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Finnegan[/name] ([name]Finn[/name]) from your list. The Biblical names [name]Hezekiah[/name] and [name]Uriah[/name] are oddly mismatched with [name]Elliot[/name]. Here are some suggestions.

All of your names are pretty unisex. With a daughter named [name]Elliot[/name], you need something solely “boy” for your son. Of the names you listed, I’d definitely choose [name]Gage[/name]. [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Gage[/name], [name]Gage[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]…something along those lines

[name]Conner[/name] - Cute, but I prefer [name]Connor[/name], it’s a more recognizable spelling.
[name]Cooper[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this one, you don’t hear it a lot
[name]Paxton[/name] - I am not a fan of the ‘x’ it just sounds harsh.
[name]Carter[/name] - I’ve never liked this name, I don’t know what it is.
[name]Parker[/name] - I like this a lot, it reminds me of Pottery [name]Barn[/name].
[name]Hezekiah[/name] - A bit too out there in my opinion.
[name]Uriah[/name] - Reminds me of urine
[name]Gage[/name] - I love this one. It’s common, but not too common. It’s a great one-syllable name. Straight to the point. I like it.
[name]Finn[/name] - I prefer [name]Finn[/name], [name]Finnigan[/name] sounds like an old grouchy man
[name]Ryker[/name] - sounds a bit harsh with the k in the middle
[name]Seely[/name] - Makes me think of the mattress.

Here are some longer names

I don’t think you need a name that screams “BOY!” for your son. Since you named your daughter [name]Elliot[/name], you’re obviously open-minded about name gender bending.

[name]Conner[/name], [name]Carter[/name], [name]Parker[/name], and [name]Ryker[/name] all strike me as dated or soon-to-be dated. [name]Hezekiah[/name] and [name]Uriah[/name] are too antique next to a sister named [name]Elliot[/name]. I’m just not a fan of [name]Paxton[/name] or [name]Seely[/name]. [name]Seely[/name] sounds too much like “silly” for me to take it seriously (despite the Bones reference).

[name]Elliot[/name] and [name]Cooper[/name] or [name]Elliot[/name] and [name]Finnegan[/name] are my favorite pairings. [name]Gage[/name] could work, but it doesn’t strike me as the perfect brother to [name]Elliot[/name].
