We have a [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and wondering is [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] too close sounding to have for her sister name? What’s your thoughts on the name [name_f]Alethea[/name_f]

I like both names, but unfortunately they are a bit too similar for me. I like [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] a bit more.
Yes, they are a little similar for me -i think you’d trip over them if you were calling them together. [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] is a sweet name though
I think they are great together and nns will avoid emphasis on the similarities.

They are both gorgeous names! Does [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] have a nickname? If so, consider choosing one for [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] which sounds very dissimilar e.g. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] would be [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] would be [name_f]Thea[/name_f].
They don’t necessarily need nicknames, I think they sound lovely together

They are a little too similar for sisters in my opinion.
I don’t think they do, I’ve heard of sibsets more similar than [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Alethea[/name_f]. If you think they’re too similar, perhaps try different pronunciations of [name_f]Alethea[/name_f]?
For example, I read [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] as al-ee-thee-a but I read [name_f]Althea[/name_f] as al-tey-a.
Maybe see if there’s any alternate pronunciations/spellings you like?
