Opinion on character name set?

Already pretty much decided on this but wanted to ask here in case there’s something I should change that I’ve missed. The first names of the main characters in my story are Ethan, Caleb, Alicia, Miles, and Zoe (the last two being siblings.) They’re American teenagers in a realistic setting so I wanted names that were pretty common but not too “basic” or anything. I’m in high school right now so I picked some names that I hear fairly often. I also wanted each character’s name to be different and distinct while still flowing/sounding good with each other, if that makes sense. Do you think these names fit that criteria or is there anything I should tweak?

I can also answer questions about what their surnames are or what I’m thinking their parents’ names might be, if that’s needed.

They definitely work! They make sense for the setting, and they’re distinct enough to easily tell apart.

I think they work well together. All names start with a different letter, which I like because it makes it easier to distinguish the characters at the start and none of the names are similar in any way. They’re all common but unique enough to see you put effort into naming them. I like them!

Bump! Still feeling pretty good about this but just wanna be sure. [name_f]My[/name_f] only doubt is that maybe [name_u]Miles[/name_u] might be a bit out of place with [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] and [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], but I haven’t heard anything about that

I honestly think those are perfect! They’re all familiar, but not annoyingly common American names. They also make perfect sense for their age group.

[name_u]Miles[/name_u] doesn’t sound out of place at all. It has it’s own style, but you would expect that in a group of friends. You don’t want them to be too matchy, anyway.

Now I’m curious about their surnames :slightly_smiling_face:

Their surnames right now are [name_u]Prescott[/name_u] (Ethan), [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] (Caleb), [name_u]Howard[/name_u] (Alicia), and [name_m]Thompson[/name_m] (Miles and Zoe)

These aren’t set in stone though! You can tell me what you think of them
