I voted for [name_f]Clea[/name_f] and [name_f]Melina[/name_f]. Such pretty names.

What a cute list! I voted for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_f]Clea[/name_f] and [name_f]Melina[/name_f]. These names are (for me at least) rarely heard of but so adorable… [name_f]Melina[/name_f] has to be one of my all time favourite names although I do prefer the spelling [name_f]Malina[/name_f]… I knew this gorgeous little girl names [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] once and she has made me love that name and the spelling…I havn’t heard of [name_f]Clea[/name_f] before but I love it! The spelling is so me and the pronunciation is cute and nicer [name_f]IMO[/name_f] than [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]…[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] is also a very nice name.
You have such good name sense lol! Good luck with finding the perfect ones for you…

Ooh P.S. I also like the name [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] but prefer the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] spelling

Thank you! [name_f]Melina[/name_f] is my most newly discovered name, so I was still weighting it out. I’m glad that name has gotten a great response so far!

I like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] the best, but I also really like [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] and [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], and I quite like [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], as well, although I prefer the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] spelling.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is far and above my favorite, though–she’s so shimmery and lush, and yet so simple and familiar. I don’t know why she isn’t more used–she’s quite glorious! I like the nn/[name_m]French[/name_m] form [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], as well, but not quite so much as the full [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].

Good luck!

These were my top 3 too!

[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] is my favorite.

You have such a lovely list! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], [name_f]Clea[/name_f], and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I also really like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f].

Other names you may like:
[name_f]Melora[/name_f]
[name_f]Silvana[/name_f]
[name_f]Oceana[/name_f]
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f]
Cleome

[name_u]Vivien[/name_u]: it’s a fine name, I’ve just never liked it for some reason.
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]: very pretty!
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f]: I really like this, it’s spunky and love the nn [name_f]Roxy[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]: love [name_f]Claudia[/name_f]! [name_f]Clea[/name_f] could be a great nn for this.
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f]: cute! I also like [name_f]Joanna[/name_f].
[name_f]Clea[/name_f]: I’d be inclined to pronounce this clee-uh. It’s all right, but I think it would perfect as a nickname for [name_f]Claudia[/name_f].
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]: love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]! I don’t think I would ever use it, but it’s one of those I would adore it on someone else’s child, if that makes sense.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]:I have never liked [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. It sounds clunky to me.
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]: so cute! I really like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f].
[name_f]Melina[/name_f]: it’s a pretty sound but I encourage you look up the meaning of [name_f]Melena[/name_f]. Not that everyone would know the biological definition, but it’s something to consider.

I voted for [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f].

I’ve tried to like the name Sylvana, but Sylvia just wins out there. I usually only like names that has 1 - 3 syllables, once it goes passed that I don’t like the name. I’m a nurse so I know the definition of Melena, though I pronounce Melena as (Mel - Lin - Na) and I pronounce Melina as (Mah - Lee - Na) so I didn’t put those two together, but good to know!

I really like the name [name_f]Melina[/name_f] and still think it’s a good choice, however if you’re trying to narrow down and are on the fence about this one – aside from the biological reference, it does sound a lot like Molina Healthcare.

[name_f]Amelina[/name_f] might give just enough deviation while keeping the same sound quality. Other [name_f]Mila[/name_f] names:

[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] / [name_f]Camelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]!!!

I voted for: [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]

I like: [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] & [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]

nms: [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], [name_f]Clea[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] & [name_f]Melina[/name_f]

I voted for [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]

I don’t like [name_f]Melina[/name_f], but have you considered [name_f]Milena[/name_f]? Pr Mee-Leh-Nah? It means love, warmth & grace. And you can definitely still use [name_f]Mila[/name_f] as a nn ([name_f]Mila[/name_f] Kunis’ full name is [name_f]Milena[/name_f])

Thank you! I haven’t really looked at [name_f]Milena[/name_f], but I quite like it. I’m surprised that [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is by far the most popular! With [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], I’m not sure which name I like most [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] sounds more fresh, but it also sounds more like a nickname to me, while [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] sounds like an actual name.

[name_u]Vivien[/name_u]- I have never liked [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], it sounds old to me. But I guess it is coming back into style so it would be a good choice.
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f])- [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite from your list. I love the sound and the feel of it and the nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. It fits a wide range of people and it ages well.
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f]- I have never liked [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]. I think it is better for a pet.
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Claudia[/name_f]. It is vintage and classic, a good solid choice.
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f]- I really like [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]. I think it is sweet and tomboyish at the same time.
[name_f]Clea[/name_f] ([name_m]Clay[/name_m] - ah)- I really like this one, my favorite after [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. I really love the sound, but I feel like most people will say Clee-uh instead of [name_m]Clay[/name_m]-ah which is so beautiful I would hate for people to mispronounce it.
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. It just has a cool sound and I would love to meet a [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]- I know it is a berry favorite. But I have never liked [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], due to my brother’s obsession with the movie when he was younger.
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]- I like it. I want it to be a nn but I can’t find a longer form I like, but I would still be really excited to meet one.
[name_f]Melina[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f])- I like [name_f]Melina[/name_f], but I don’t love it. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Mila[/name_f] either. It is nice though.

I think I type in why I like the names that I listed here, just for funz…

[name_f] Vivien[/name_f] - I always liked [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], to me I picture a smart, confident, and fiercely beautiful woman. I love the nickname [name_f]Viv[/name_f], and my mother name is [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] – which can make [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] a sort of honor name.

[name_f] Sylvia[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] )- I love the sound and feel of both [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], I love how it means “from the forest.” This name just sounds musical to me.

[name_f] Roxana[/name_f] - Probably my least favorite of the list. I love names that end in “anna.” I like how it means ‘dawn,’ but I’m not crazy about the nickname [name_f]Roxy[/name_f].

[name_f] Claudia[/name_f] - Oddly enough [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_u]Rice[/name_u]'s character that is named [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] has made me really like this name. I hate that it means “lame” though.

[name_f] Johanna[/name_f] - As far as “-anna” names goes, this is my favorite. It’s classy, but not done to death. I like the [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] association to [name_u]Sweeney[/name_u] [name_m]Todd[/name_m], and J.K. Rowling’s first name is [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]. So this name can be a honor name to both of those people.

[name_f] Clea[/name_f] ([name_m]Clay[/name_m] - ah)- I just happened to run into this name. I like how simple yet unique it is. It took me a long time to figure out which pronunciation I like more, [name_m]Clay[/name_m] - uh or Clee -uh. I ended up liking [name_m]Clay[/name_m] - uh better.

[name_f] Maeve[/name_f] - I have a large Irish ancestry in my family line, so I really like [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I like how it’s pronounced ([name_f]May[/name_f] - v), I like the history and meaning of it. I’m usually not too crazy about one syllable names, but this one packs a lot of punch in it one syllable.

[name_f] Matilda[/name_f] - [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] Wormwood was a favorite character of mine when I was little. I love the sound and meaning of the name. Also this name comes with a lot of nicknames: [name_u]Matty[/name_u], [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], [name_f]Tilda[/name_f], etc.

[name_f] Gemma[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], it’s short, different, and I think it can work with just about any personality

[name_f] Melina[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f])- I like it for the nickname to [name_f]Mila[/name_f], I used to like the sound of it. But all these “melena” comments has put me off of this name a bit. I like the suggestions to look at [name_f]Milena[/name_f], though.

I voted for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]- the name’s at least a thousand years old, with much use in [name_m]Norman[/name_m] times, but still sounds current and fresh and totally wearable in the modern world. It’s spunky and peppy and fun, but also elegant and sophisticated. I can imagine a [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] being a playful little girl with swinging pigtails, but there’s also the connection of the strong and determined [name_f]Empress[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] too- sweet and a bit demure and dainty. It gives off a Victorian-era vibe to me because of the [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_m]Doyle[/name_m] trilogy. It also feels like a name with history but totally wearable today.

I’m not fond of the other spellings, but I like [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] for the [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] connection.

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] hits a sweet spot of exotic-yet-familiar- I’ve only ever met one so it seems pretty unusual to me. Also spunky and dramatic.
