Hello, we are from [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] where there is a flower called glacier avens, mountain avens too. We are considering Aven for a girl’s name. Pronounced with the ‘A’ as in ‘[name_f]Ava[/name_f]’ but A-ven.
I’ve always liked the name [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] too but now I feel as if it’s a bit played out. I have a DD ‘[name_f]Violet[/name_f]’, we named her before the name exploded and while I love her name, I worry this will happen with [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] as well.
I also have a DD ‘[name_u]Eden[/name_u]’ and I realize [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and Aven are similar.
Thoughts and opinions are welcome, please. Thank you!
I like the name. It sounds familiar, but it’s unique, and it’s not made up. You could try the “yell it across the house” test to see if [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and Aven are too similar for you. They may be given they both have “en” endings and 2 syllables.
I think that [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and Aven are too close. [name_f]Avis[/name_f] (which means bird) could be a good alternative.
I think [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and Aven are too close, sorry.
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are so pretty! I don’t love Aven. [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is a great fit. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f]
I love the combo Aven [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]!
