Chinese-Canadian boy on the way and looking for help narrowing down his name. He’ll have one english and one chinese middle name. Let me know your thoughts:
I think [name]England[/name] is a silly name for any boy.
[name]Kai[/name] is fine, [name]Drake[/name] isn’t half bad nms, but not bad, [name]Ryder[/name] I’m not a fan of, [name]Logan[/name] is just fine, [name]Aiden[/name] I know a chinese canadian [name]Aiden[/name], so it’s fine. Taio makes me think of Taio [name]Cruz[/name].
I like [name]Kai[/name] or [name]Logan[/name] the most.
I like [name]Ryder[/name] [name]Colin[/name] Zhui a lot.
I think [name]England[/name] is a cool idea, but I think the Chinese side would feel slighted, since he would get an English name, the name of the country of his English side, AND an English surname while he only gets one little Chinese name stuffed in the last spot. Plus, I’m not sure how wearable [name]England[/name] is as a name.
I absolutely love [name]Aidan[/name] (this spelling!) too–despite its trendiness, despite its overusage. It’s a great name. [name]Aidan[/name] is the traditional English spelling, as well. The [name]Aiden[/name] spelling just cheapens it, imo, but I do love the name as a whole. I do think [name]Aidan[/name] [name]David[/name] [name]Rui[/name] sounds better than [name]Aidan[/name] [name]Colin[/name] Zhui, mainly because of the repeated “N” endings.
I think you’re right about “[name]England[/name]”. We travel a lot so just liked the concept of naming after places.
I have to say i think [name]Aiden[/name] (or [name]Aidan[/name]) is a great name however I am getting the impression it’s being way over used these days so really starting to cool off on it considerably.
