We are considering “[name_m]Bligh[/name_m]” as the first name for our child. We don’t know if we’re having a boy or girl, but are quite stuck on boy’s names.
We’re based in Australia, and yes we know it’s the last name of [name_m]Captain[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Bligh[/name_m] (my husband is also a sea captain). [name_m]Bligh[/name_m] was originally a first name and means “bliss”.
What does everyone think?
My first thought with [name_m]Bligh[/name_m] is former Queensland premier [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_m]Bligh[/name_m], I’m in WA and I feel like that would be peoples first association (I’d never heard of [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Bligh[/name_m]). I think it works better as a middle name especially since it honours your husbands profession.
