I like the way it looks, but I think the pronunciation is a little clunky on my tongue. I prefer Providence. [name]Both[/name] names are cool though.
I think it’s like using [name]Paris[/name] or [name]Milan[/name], plus I think people will misprn it as “pro vince” or “prah vence”
It can be cute, but I know I mispronounced the name when I first saw it. Now knowing how it should be pronounced makes it sound prettier but I am sure a lot of people would probably mispronounce it like me.
I guess [name]Vaughn[/name] from the prn?
This just seems like it would be a headache, and I can see some teasing with both “pro” and “provincial”.
Providence or [name]France[/name] or something associated with [name]Provence[/name], like maybe [name]Lavender[/name]?, could be really cool, particularly as a middle. or [name]Frances[/name] up front.
I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it. I think there are nicer French/[name]France[/name]-related names out there.
I don’t mind it, I just think that people may think it’s a bit snobbish.
I agree with a pp, that I would like Providence. Though it’s just replacing one place name with another, so I’m not sure why. When I was just glancing over the poll, I actually thought it said Providence and thought it could be cute.
In anglophone countries, it’ll be pronounced province.
And perhaps remind the chefs of herbes de provence.
It’s a beautiful idea but probably will fail in execution.
