A friend of mine is expecting her first baby girl next year and has a short list of three names, whats your opinion on these?
[name]Elsie[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Essie[/name]
Suggestion for both first and middle names welcome!
I love [name]Elsie[/name] and [name]Elsa[/name].
I would personally name my daughter [name]Elsa[/name] and use the nn [name]Elsie[/name].
[name]Elsa[/name]- [name]Lovely[/name], unexpected but simple, lightly Scandinavian-feeling.
[name]Elsie[/name]- I hear this one’s all the rage in the UK. It’s one of the -ie names that sounds not cutesy but dignified and energetic. With [name]Elsa[/name], she’d have the option of using this as a nickname.
[name]Essie[/name]- Feels insubstantial to me, like an old-lady nickname for some longer name like [name]Ernestine[/name].
I think that all three of those are lovely! I think that my personal favorite if [name]Essie[/name], which I like as a nickname. If I were in your friend’s shoes, I would probably use [name]Elsa[/name], and then she could use either [name]Elsie[/name] or [name]Essie[/name] (a bit more of a stretch, but not too much so in my opinion) as a nickname.
Middle name suggestions …
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Leonie[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Cosette[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Lucienne[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Verity[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Maelys[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Tamsin[/name]
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Essie[/name]! I know it should probably be given as a nickname to something more substantial, but I can’t help loving it on its own as a full name. Someone in my family (mid-1900s) was named [name]Essie[/name]. My first guess would be that an [name]Essie[/name]'s full name is [name]Esther[/name], but I really like it on its own. Your friend may also like [name]Elspeth[/name], from which she can get all three of those nicknames PLUS the ADORABLE [name]Eppie[/name].
[name]Elsie[/name] and [name]Elsa[/name] are both beautiful, the only name I don’t care for is [name]Essie[/name].
[name]Elsie[/name] just has this glamorous vibe to it, and [name]Elsa[/name] is spunky and a little old-fashioned, which I love. Some other short e-names that I love is [name]Edie[/name] and [name]Edith[/name], which I feel are very similiar to your friends three names.
Some middle-name suggestions:
[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Virginia[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]
I love [name]Essie[/name] as a nn for [name]Estelle[/name] or [name]Estella[/name]!
[name]Love[/name] them all!! [name]Elsa[/name] would be my personal pick, but [name]Elsie[/name] and [name]Essie[/name] are adorable.
[name]Essie[/name] is a brand of nail polish. For me [name]Elsa[/name] is a dogs name, though I met a three year old with the name and it suited her. [name]Elsie[/name] would be my pick of the three.
