Specifically used as a nickname for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but obviously fine to use on its own. What are your opinions and impressions of the name? What kind of girl do you see with it?
I’m not sure whether it’s pronounced EE-lee-ah or [name_f]ELLE[/name_f]-ee-ah, but I think y would be completely cute either way. Although [name_f]IMO[/name_f] [name_f]ELLE[/name_f]-ee-ah would be more a nickname for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
I do prefer the pronunciation Eh-lee-ah/[name_f]Elle[/name_f]-eeh-ah.
I think of [name_u]Elia[/name_u] [name_m]Martell[/name_m] from ASOIAF/Game of Thrones, but that isn’t a prominent association. I pronounce it [name_f]ELLE[/name_f]-yah. I think it’s lovely, although I would worry about [name_u]Elia[/name_u] being lost in a sea of similar names.
I really like it and it has a sophisticated vibe for me.
I know an [name_u]Elia[/name_u]. She pronounces her name [name_f]Elle[/name_f]-ee-ah.
