I was in an elevator one day and a woman came in with this absolutely adorable baby in her stroller. She had such big eyes and looked so alert and sweet I fell in love with her right away (I am soooo jealous of her mom lol) Anyway, I asked what her name was ( That, to me, is the absolute most important question you could ask about a baby or pregnancy) and her mom said something like Mee-lah. I had never heard the name before so I have no idea how it is spelt. This might be because of the baby, but I thought it was kind of pretty and spunky, which is exactly my style. Does anyone have any ideas about how it might be spelt, and what are your opinions on it? If it turns out to be a real name, I am seriously considering adding it to my list. Thanks in advance!
It’s spelled [name]Mila[/name]. The name’s been on the rise lately, probably due to all the attention actress [name]Mila[/name] Kunis got last year for The [name]Black[/name] Swan. It can be a stand alone name or a nickname ([name]Mila[/name] Kunis’s first name is actually [name]Milena[/name]).
Probably [name]Mila[/name], like Ms. Kunis.
Hmmmm. That makes sense, but I aways thought Ms. Kunis’ name was pronounced Mye-la? That’s why I asked
No, it’s pronounced mee-lah. I would assume that mye-la would be spelled [name]Myla[/name].
[name]Mila[/name] can also be a nickname for the Spanish name [name]Milagros[/name], which means [name]Miracle[/name], if that’s any help!
Well. I guess I come from a very misinformed area, because everyone I know says My-la. But I like the spelling [name]Mila[/name], so thanks for enlightening me, everyone!
