[name]Anabella[/name] nn [name]Bella[/name]- Does it sound like “Antebellum”? - Never thought of antebellum. Not a high-frequency word (unless you live near a southern cultural center or something?). I do think it’s a little bit too frilly for my own taste, but it’s a fine name overall.
[name]Greta[/name]- too old fashioned/out of style? - not for me, but I’m sure some would feel that way. It might be too [name]Greta[/name] van Susteren for others. I like this name overall.
[name]Rosalie[/name] nn [name]Rose[/name]/ [name]Rosie[/name] - very pretty, and I like it. I know Twilight would bother some…it doesn’t me, at this time at least.
[name]Amalia[/name] nn [name]Mali[/name] (pr. [name]Molly[/name]) - OMG I love this name and no one ever seems to think of it : D. Yes!
[name]Angelica[/name]- does it remind you of rugrats? - no, it doesn’t. It does remind me of [name]Anjelica[/name] [name]Huston[/name] a bit, but not in a bad way or anything. I like it.
[name]Hadley[/name] nn [name]Addy[/name]/ Haddie - I like it pretty well but it does seem trendy, there are more vintage ways to get to [name]Addy[/name] and Haddie.
[name]Demetria[/name] nn [name]Demi[/name] - [name]Demi[/name] is too [name]Moore[/name] and [name]Demetria[/name] is too much.
[name]Lyric[/name]- does it sound made up? - to me, yes, rather, like the idea but your style seems more classic so I’m not sure it’s right for you.
[name]Callista[/name] nn [name]Calla[/name] - I like it, I prefer spelling [name]Calista[/name], seems simpler. Right now kind of tired of Gingrich’s wife…not even about the politics just that it’s her name now more than it was Flockhart’s, to me. Let’s see if [name]Newt[/name] wins the election before you decide lol : D.
[name]Imogen[/name] - we were posting about this elsewhere. [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Francesca[/name] - I understand the appeal, but it’s kind of clunky to me, maybe past in the good way.
[name]Vanessa[/name] nn [name]Nessi[/name] - too lochness monsterish? - well, [name]Nessi[/name] yes, [name]Nessa[/name] no (to me). [name]Vanessa[/name] feels a little tired…OK though. [name]Agnes[/name] nn [name]Nessa[/name]?
[name]Claire[/name] - classic, elegant, lovely, love it.
[name]Aubriana[/name] nn Aubri, or bree. - OK, I like [name]Aubrey[/name], but [name]Aubriana[/name] is too much to me. If you use [name]Aubrey[/name], please spell it that way…
[name]Delaney[/name] nn [name]Della[/name] or [name]Laney[/name] - not my usual taste, nor perhaps yours, but I do really love it. Between this and [name]Hadley[/name] I like this more, though [name]Delaney[/name] and [name]Hadley[/name] would be a pretty good sibset.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Bliss[/name]. (Saw someone post the nn [name]Bliss[/name] and I [name]LOVE[/name] it. Wdyt?) - classic and really like either nickname.
Novalee nn [name]Nova[/name]- Too made up sounding? - maybe somewhat? But I do kind of like it. [name]Just[/name] [name]Nova[/name] probably would be more elegant.
[name]Sylvia[/name] nn Sylvi - love love love love it, would probably spell the nn [name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Elspeth[/name] nn [name]Elsa[/name]- Does it sound like someone is just slurring the name [name]Elizabeth[/name]? - maybe a bit? I know the Scottish heritage but I’m not sure how those who don’t would react. I think you could use [name]Elsa[/name] as an [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn, or even [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Elspeth[/name]. I think [name]Elspeth[/name] is pretty great but it might be the sort of name that in the US, if that’s where you are, is best in the middle.
