Opinions/ Ideas Wanted! Middle name for Frances

I’d love some name feedback/advice from you all- I think we are pretty settled on [name_f]Frances[/name_f] for our baby girl’s first name. We will likely call her [name_u]Frannie[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] brother died this fall and I would like to honor him with her middle name. However, his name is very masculine and unusual: Beaumont. Beaumont means “Beautiful Mountain”. I am open to a very fluid definition of an honorific name. So a name with a similar meaning or a name that references any of his many wonderful qualities is fair game to me. He was intelligent, talkative, friendly, he had red hair. He was the seventh of eleven children. He was helpful and loved to tell you any fact he found interesting. He loved to tinker and was mechanically minded. Any suggestions based on those qualities?
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband likes the name [name_f]Belle[/name_f] which means " beautiful" but I think I am leaning towards [name_f]Bea[/name_f] (from [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]) which means “bringer of happiness” and is visually close to [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. Any other suggestions or thoughts on [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or other options for the middle spot?
Our last name is two syllables and sounds like [name_f]Susan[/name_f]. We have one son named [name_m]Clyde[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m].

I like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or [name_f]Bella[/name_f] sound nice to with the flow of [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and your last name too.
Good luck!

Beaudine sounds more feminine to me.

Oh, I should have been more clear- I want to honor my brother, Beaumont, but I am not thinking of using that name. Especially with unisex [name_f]Frances[/name_f] I would like a more feminine middle name.

Well, [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] would be my choice. It is very sweet.

[name_f]Beverly[/name_f]
[name_f]Bernice[/name_f]
[name_f]Bernadine[/name_f]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f] - a mountain flower

Thanks for the suggestions! I will run those by my husband and see what he thinks. [name_m]Beau[/name_m] was born in [name_f]May[/name_f], I forgot to say that. What do you all think of [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or even [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f]?

I think [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is beautiful Nd flows better than [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f](which I love).

I actually love the way [name_f]Frances[/name_f] Beaumont sounds. It has a very sophisticated sound to it. But, my other choice would be [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. I know a little girl named [name_m]Beau[/name_m] and it’s a very sweet name.

I like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], as belle is the feminine form or beau. A very sweet connection. However, [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is also adorable.

[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]/[name_f]May[/name_f] is also very sweet!

I think [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is just gorgeous, and I love that [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is the feminine form of [name_m]Beau[/name_m].

I like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] names are so cute and a very direct way of honoring your brother.

[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] & [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are also really cute, and a little more feminine I suppose (I find [name_f]Bea[/name_f] and [name_f]Bee[/name_f] quite girly though!).

Thank you all for weighing in. Sounds like we can’t go wrong with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] or [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. Any opinions at all on [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f]? I kinda like it in a GP kinda way but my husband thinks it sounds “too made up”.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] the best. I think of all your choices, it brings the most femininity to the name. But I love [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] too–very cute. I don’t really like [name_f]Maybelle[/name_f], though I do think it sounds good with [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. It makes me think of Maybelline. At the same time, unless you’re planning to call her by her fn and mn, her mn is not going to be “out there” for everyone to see all the time. You should do whatever you and your husband like the most. (PS–[name_f]Frances[/name_f] is one of my all-time fave names; it’s my dd’s mn, and I sometimes fantasize about having used it for her fn–even though I love her fn too. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Frannie[/name_u].)

[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]

SaraAllison, thanks for weighing in! [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is a family name for us, too. [name_f]My[/name_f] FIL’s name and his father and HIS father! It’s a great name and it goes so well with your DD’s first name.
I think [name_u]Frannie[/name_u]'s middle name will probably be discussed until we fill out the paper work! I am glad we have two equally good (and very similar) options that both honor my brother.
