Can you imagine [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_m]Augustin[/name_m], [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] as a sibset?

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] are too similiar to be in the same sibset?
  2. Which one do you prefer: [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] or [name_f]Alta[/name_f]?

I like the girl names but I think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] are a little too similar sounding with the au.
I prefer [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] with the sibset

Although I like all of the names…I personally would not have them all start with A. It’s a little cheesy. If two of them had A names and the others were different, I think I could live with that.

It’s not really my personal style to have an entire sibset starting with one letter but I think all of the names you’ve listed are nice and work well together. I don’t hate it.

I don’t think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] are overly similar-yes they both start and end in a, but they contain different consonants and a different central vowel sound, so I wouldn’t think that they are too similar to be in the same sibset.

I much prefer [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] to [name_f]Alta[/name_f]-it has more substance to it and seems stronger and prettier to me than [name_f]Alta[/name_f], which feels a little insubstantial.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] a little note, if you’re planning on pronouncing [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] like “OR-[name_u]GUS[/name_u]-[name_m]TIN[/name_m]”, I would go for the [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] spelling. When the name is spelt [name_m]Augustin[/name_m], it should really be pronounced"OR-[name_u]GUS[/name_u]-[name_m]TAN[/name_m]", like the original [name_m]French[/name_m].

I’m another one who’s not keen on the all A- sibset, but that’s obviously something that appeals to you and I don’t think any of the names you listed are too similar to work for siblings.

I love [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and am less keen on [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] and [name_f]Alta[/name_f], both of which feel a little bit insubstantial as names to me.

I prefer [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. But dislike how cheese sibset is.

Personally, I prefer [name_f]Alta[/name_f] to [name_f]Astrid[/name_f]. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] since the office took on [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], I can’t think of anything else when I hear the name.
I generally prefer different letter sibsets, but if you are attached to the A- thing, I think the names you have are different enough to work. [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] does seem like a bit of an outlier: [name_m]Augustin[/name_m], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] seem much more classic, and [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] seems very modern and trendy compared.

I happen to love the all-A sibset! Growing up I knew four sibs whose names all began with S. If you love it, don’t worry what anyone else thinks. (BTW, it’s not cheesy and it can save money on initial backpacks  )

1. Can you imagine [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_m]Augustin[/name_m], [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] as a sibset?
Yes! They’re all familiar yet unusual names. Sure, maybe Mom might call them the wrong thing when she’s frazzled, but whose mom hasn’t?

2. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alaska[/name_f] are too similiar to be in the same sibset?
No. I think parents usually have a specific taste and stick to it, so the names are likely to be similar.

3. Which one do you prefer: [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] or [name_f]Alta[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] but I’m partial to [name_f]Alta[/name_f], since I have a wonderful [name_m]IRL[/name_m] association with [name_f]Alta[/name_f].
