Opinions on Agatha?

WDYT of the name [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]? I am really starting to crush on it, but I don’t know if it’s considered “so far out, it will always be out”. Thoughts?

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] will totally come back. I personally don’t love it but I can see a come back in the near future definitely.

Oh [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] screams old lady. It would need a celebrity to be named that to bring it back, and even then it would be a stretch.

Personally, I love it! And it comes with the cute nickname [name_f]Aggie[/name_f], too! It’s underused, which is a plus, an endearing classic, and oh so feminine. I also like [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] for the same reasons.

I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is so beautiful ([name_f]Agathe[/name_f] as well). I Denmark, it’s slowly but steadily coming back. I don’t think it’s more old-fashioned than so many other names ([name_f]Millicent[/name_f], [name_f]Mildred[/name_f], [name_f]Enid[/name_f] to name a few).

I love [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]. It’s been perennially in my top ten.

I love it! But I have a thing for old classic names. These days, they can come off sounding chic.

I love [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], and aggie for short.

It does seem to be making a comeback, but I still think Hagatha whenever I see it. Not a fan.

I have a crush on [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] for a long, long time. I’m really sad people consider it an old lady name and always tell me it’s way too dated. I mean why does everyone consider that choosing your child a modern word name (there are some that are really too much) better than one cute and vintage classic name. I think classic names such as [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] will never become old fashioned, most of them are really beautiful.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is going to come back. [name_f]Aggie[/name_f] is the logical next step after [name_u]Abbie[/name_u], [name_f]Addie[/name_f], and [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], so it’s only a matter of time. I predict that it will catch on in [name_m]Britain[/name_m] first and then make its way across the pond. I don’t find [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]'s sound to be particularly appealing, but I would still be thrilled to meet a little girl named [name_f]Agatha[/name_f].

I would absoulty love to meet a little girl named [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]. While the name isn’t one of my favourites (I prefer [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]) it’s most definitly deserving of a come back.

I hate it, sorry. It’s very old-ladyish and just doesn’t sound very attractive. I hate the name [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] for the same reason. They both look and sound unattractive to me.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]! Definitely due for a comeback.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is a vintage classic. It’s a versatile name borne by a saint, a mystery writer, a mystery character, and a Spanish fashion designer. [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] can be whoever she wants to be. If sisters [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] can reappear, then [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is ready for her comeback.

I really like it!

It sounds like a name that will be going up the charts in [name_f]England[/name_f] in the next few years and then catch on in the US. Give it a few years and it will loose it’s “old lady-ness”.

I think you’d have to be a bit boho to pull it off, but I do love it. It’s cute, for one, and it has a vintage charm (unlike the mothball likeness of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f], for instance).

I personally do not care for [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]. Sorry.

I love [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]! If you love it, use it. I don’t feel like there are any negative associations, like Big [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] with [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]. I think it is totally usable.

One of the children next door is [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] (goes by [name_f]Aggie[/name_f]). She’s about 10?
We’re in Australia, but her mum is English.
I think it’s cute!
It goes very well with her siblings names (B3rti3, V1olet and @lfi3 - I’m not 100% of the boys’ full names, though I could guess).
It suits her - and she’s a nice kid, so that helps with the positive association.
I definitely don’t think it’s “too far out” and is totally usable.
