[name_m]New[/name_m] here , my name is [name_f]Megan[/name_f] and I’m expecting my 2nd baby, a girl. I am recently very fond of the name Alaura. Heard it recently and fell in love with it. Opinions? I have a 6 year old son named [name_m]Aaron[/name_m].

I have never heard Alaura before, but it reminds me very much of a similar name I like, [name_f]Elora[/name_f]. [name_f]Elora[/name_f] feels and looks more straightforward to me, but both are very beautiful!

Congrats! I’ve never heard of Alaura, but I am very fond of [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Elara[/name_f], and Alara. I would prefer one of those more straightforward/recognizable spellings personally. All of them are quite close to the one you suggested, and I think they’re lovely!
Alaura is fine but I do prefer [name_f]Elora[/name_f] much more.
I prefer the spelling Alora, or as everyone else has said [name_f]Elora[/name_f]. I like the sound of it, its very pretty but I think it will constantly be misspelt, which would be a huge pain especially to her as she grown up, having to spell her name out. I would stick to one of the more traditional spellings
