[name]Hi[/name],
I really, really love [name]Amber[/name], which is wierd because the three [name]Ambers[/name] I think of are my friends sister [name]Amber[/name] who’s bitchy, quite gothic and rude, [name]Amber[/name] who was on the TV show [name]Tracy[/name] Beaker who was also mean, rude and a law breaking rock chick and then [name]Amber[/name] from the TV show Some Girls and she was the ‘stupid one’. [name]Even[/name] though none of these are ideal, I still absolutely adore the name!
What do you think?
Any suggestions for middles for [name]Amber[/name] would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
[name]Ellie[/name] xx
That’s funny, the first personality you described is the personality of the one [name]Amber[/name] I know as well! Anyway, I find the name a bit dated and a little boring; [name]Ember[/name] is more refreshing, imho.
Are you looking for something more classic and feminine to pair with [name]Amber[/name]?
I actually really like it, probably because I’ve only ever met one, even though it was very popular in my generation. I wouldn’t put TOO much stock into the idea that “all the [name]Amber[/name]'s I’ve met were horrible, so mine will be too.” I have come across names like that ([name]Katelyn[/name], for example), but others, like my name, my mom’s name, vary so much. So I think if you like it, you should definitely use it.
I don’t mind it. I know its dated, but I prefer it to more current gem names like [name]Ruby[/name] or [name]Pearl[/name]. (Though I do like [name]Opal[/name] and [name]Emerald[/name]/[name]Esmeralda[/name]…) I like the warm colour and the fact it’s a soft gem from trees.
I also vastly prefer [name]Amber[/name]/[name]Esther[/name]/[name]Briar[/name]/[name]Demeter[/name] to -er names that are occupational like [name]Piper[/name]/[name]Harper[/name]/[name]Taylor[/name], etc.
I like [name]Amber[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]. Or [name]Amber[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name], which I see PP has mentioned already.
Or [name]Amber[/name] [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Amber[/name] [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Amber[/name] [name]Verity[/name], [name]Amber[/name] [name]Sabine[/name], [name]Amber[/name] [name]Joelle[/name], [name]Amber[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]… I could see it working with a lot of names, actually.
I have pretty much always liked the name [name]Amber[/name]. I don’t like [name]Amber[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] though. I like [name]Amber[/name] [name]Rose[/name] better.
