Hi ! Me and my husband really love this name for our daughter. What do you think of the name [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] for a baby girl? I’m worried it becomes too common. How many [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] do you know? And what are some good middle names for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]?
I don’t personally know any [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]’s and I think the name + meaning is so lovely. I guess it just depends on where you live when it comes to popularity. Here’s some middle names for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]:

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
It’s a little too frilly for my personal taste and is a little bit of a tongue twister, but it’s a perfectly fine name. I don’t know any [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]’s, but I’m not around too many children either (though come to think of it, I did meet a teenaged [name_f]Arora[/name_f], pronounced the same way). I do know it’s fairly popular as far as statistics go). If you’re in the US, maybe check the popularity in your specific state & see if it bothers you? I’ve always liked the combo [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. @abby_gail_t gave some great suggestions as well!
I really want to like the name but I just find it so hard to say. The double RR sound I find awkward but it does have a fairy tale vibe about it. I prefer [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]. Which rolls of the tongue.
I know 2 born in the last year. Not a fan personally because its hard to me to say, but I do love the nickname [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. I’d go for a less frilly middle, maybe [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f]
Aurora is beautiful! I love the meaning, which gives it gorgeous imagery, and the fairytale feel of it.
It has gotten rather popular in the US, considering it is in the Top 100. However, I don’t know any little Auroras. (The [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] I know is middle-aged, and I once met a teenaged [name_f]Aurora[/name_f].) So whether it has become too common or not depends on where you live.
My husband works with an [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. I don’t know any myself. It’s a pretty name, but like others said it isn’t the easiest to say. It does have that fairytale feeling though. I’d go with a solid time-proven name for a middle name if you do like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
I know it’s a little hard to say but not impossible. Personally I pronounce it without difficulty.
I think a less frilly middle name flows better too. What about [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]?
Aurora has a celestial vibe! I’ve met one [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]!
I really like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]! I honestly would never have thought it was hard to say until a bunch of people on here said it. I wonder if it has to do with accents somewhat? Anyway I have an American accent and it’s not a problem for me. Its a pretty name but not too frilly. I’ve never met one, but I don’t know many kids.
I have a ten year old [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Whitney[/name_u]. Her middle name is a family name. We call her [name_u]Rory[/name_u]- I love a tomboyish nickname for a super feminine full- but she always introduces herself as [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. No one in our circle can’t pronounce it, except maybe a toddler or two, but I totally get that it’s super R-heavy! You’ve gotta take your time saying it
I know of one toddler [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], one elderly [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], and my daughter has an acquaintance her age who shares her name.
