I have some names I love & would like to know others opinions on them.

I like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] the best. The other names seen more like nicknames to me, although they can work as full names and some people like that style. I would probably choose to name the baby/person [name_u]August[/name_u] nn [name_m]Augie[/name_m], [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] nn [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Malcom[/name_m] nn [name_m]Mac[/name_m]. Of the full name versions I like [name_u]August[/name_u] nn [name_m]Augie[/name_m] the best. That being said, there are a lot of people on this site that really like shortened first names or nickname style names so it is really just personal preference.

I love them all! Short, bold and energetic is right up my street.

Ranked favourite to least:

[name_u]Jude[/name_u]: cool, fresh, strong, simple and nicely androgynous (though obviously much more popular for a boy). [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

[name_u]Max[/name_u]: friendly, approachable, energetic, and still effortlessly cool despite being pretty popular for years.

[name_m]Mac[/name_m]: feels like a slightly edgier, less popular alternative to [name_u]Max[/name_u]. However, I do think of Big [name_m]Mac[/name_m] (perhaps it’s just this spelling?)

[name_m]Augie[/name_m]: I like it a lot, but it errs on the side of too cutesy/informal for a full name to me.

They’re all great!
[name_m]Augie[/name_m] would be the only one I would prefer as a nickname. Probably for [name_u]August[/name_u].
[name_m]Mac[/name_m] / [name_m]Mack[/name_m] is my favourite :slight_smile:

In order of preference:
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]: simple and sweet. Well known but not overly common. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.
[name_m]Mac[/name_m]: I prefer [name_m]Mac[/name_m] as a nickname. My favorite ways to get to [name_m]Mac[/name_m] as [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] and [name_m]Cormac[/name_m]. That said I think it’s distinctive and can work fine on its own. Its super versatile, I can picture it on any age and any personality type.
[name_u]Max[/name_u]: another that I personally prefer as a nickname but works well on its own. It has a vintage charm that I love but it has gotten pretty popular where I live which has made me a little less enthusiastic about it.
[name_m]Augie[/name_m]: I like [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] but not [name_m]Augie[/name_m] on its own. It feels very immature. [name_u]Truth[/name_u] be told I would use the nickname [name_u]Gus[/name_u] for [name_u]August[/name_u] or [name_m]Augustus[/name_m], [name_m]Augie[/name_m] just doesn’t sound appealing to me… But that’s just my personal opinion. There is nothing actually wrong with it.
