Yay or nay?
I would lean towards nay to be honest, but I’m not 100% sure if I’m pronouncing it correctly.
I love it! It’s one of the more obscure Biblical names I wish could get popular instead of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]. I think names with the letter Z are “in.” Also, I like that it’s short and can be used as a first name without any problem (imo it’s not [name_m]OTT[/name_m].)
Definitely yay! I’m so glad that [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] seems to be getting more and more love–I don’t feel so crazy for loving it! It started out as a GP for me, then almost made my list as a MN, then made it onto my top 20, and it’s grown on me so much it’s almost made it to my top 10 (it still might!). I love the Bible character, the nn [name_u]Bo[/name_u] (so fun!), and, most of all, I love that it can honor my grandmother, [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], in a roundabout way. [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] has become a fixture on my list, and I’m so massively in love with him. I can’t say enough good things about [name_m]Boaz[/name_m]! I think it could definitely be a [name_u]Noah[/name_u] “replacement” much like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] (and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]) were considered for [name_f]Emma[/name_f].
Nay. Sorry. If you love it, though, pursue it!
Would you mind helping me out with my names?
[name_m]Boaz[/name_m]… what a cute name! I like it!
This has been one of my “guilty pleasure” names- the weird ones that I can’t help but love anyway. I think [name_u]Bo[/name_u] is such a cute nickname and I love that [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] is a biblical name but not a boring one. I think that I’m deciding against it for us, but I don’t think it’s too out there to use.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! I don’t feel that it is too “out there” to use and I adore the nn [name_u]Bo[/name_u]!
