[name]Hi[/name] there,
Wondering what the overall consensus is on the name [name]Brooks[/name]…for a boy…which is my one strike against the name… apparently people get it confused as a girls name? I mean i get that [name]Brooke[/name] is obviously a girls name but once you add the “s” it makes it all boy for me. Am i alone on this?
I have had a reaaalllllyyy hard time trying to come up with boy names for our baby due in early december. When i woke up one morning and saw the name [name]Brooks[/name] on someone’s blog, it just struck me. Maybe it was just the right place at the right time as i’m sure i’ve heard the name before but it never had an effect on me…but now i seem to have taken a liking to it. Not to mention it feels really good knowing i have a name i finally like in my back pocket.
I have a little boy named [name]Graham[/name] at home. My girl names (if this baby is a girl) are [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Jules[/name]. Does [name]Brooks[/name] fit in with these names? Middle name would be [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Vernon[/name].

I know a man named [name]Brooks[/name] so it’s not unusual or girly to me especially since I don’t know any girls named [name]Brooke[/name]. I think the name is nice even if it’s nms and goes well with [name]Graham[/name].
[name]Brooks[/name] is all boy for me, and I desperately hope this one never goes to the girls. We are big sports fans so the first thing that comes to my mind is [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Robinson[/name] (famous [name]Baltimore[/name] Orioles player). I love that name and have considered it but it doesn’t go with our last name at all, so I’m jealous!
And I think it absolutely goes with [name]Graham[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name] – wonderful, classic but creative (somehow), solid names. [name]Jules[/name] seems like the odd man out to me. It seems kind of nicknamey where as the others are more formal, [name]IMO[/name]. But if I met siblings [name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Jules[/name] I would not think twice about it (except to think what great names they have!)
I love the name [name]Brooks[/name]! I do not picture it as a girls name in the least. Before I found out the sex of this baby I had [name]Brooks[/name] on my list as a middle name. I think it fits wonderfully with you other children as well.
I think [name]Brooks[/name] is definitely a great boy name & fits with your other names well. [name]One[/name] of the Housewives of OC is dating a man named [name]Brooks[/name], so that’s where I’ve heard of it! I like the simplicity–easy to pronounce & spell!
I love [name]Brooks[/name]! [name]Graham[/name], [name]Jules[/name], [name]Brooks[/name], and [name]Georgia[/name] fit well together, imo! I’ve loved it since I discovered it on [name]Eloise[/name] at Christmastime… that [name]Brooks[/name] isn’t the best, but I think it’s such a cool, dashing, charming, southern-type name. I would love to meet a [name]Brooks[/name]! I love the combo [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Oliver[/name], even though that’s the name of the villain (well, [name]Brooks[/name] [name]Oliver[/name], III) in [name]Eloise[/name] at Christmastime, haha.
Thats kind of how i feel about the name as well, jeska. It’s kind of a bit outside of my usual style which i think is more classic. I saw it paired with [name]Knox[/name] and [name]Ava[/name] neither of which i am too fond of which is why i was questioning whether it was too “trendy” for my taste. But nonetheless i am surprised at how much it has grown on me and how much i like it.
