I really like this name but I’m still not sure. What’s your opinion on it? What would a little girl with this name be like? And what are some good nicknames? I also like [name_f]Carmit[/name_f] and [name_u]Carmel[/name_u] but I can’t really decide.

Honestly, all I can think of is “Carmelite nuns.” And, ofc, caramel. I don’t think it’s really usable. [name_f]Carmit[/name_f] maybe is though?
To me it just looks like you want to spell [name_f]Carmelita[/name_f] and forgot the a. I don’t think it is usable either, sorry. Prefer [name_u]Carmel[/name_u].
Not a fan, I also assumed someone forgot the a in [name_f]Carmelita[/name_f]. I think it’d get misheard/misspelled a lot of the time. I like [name_u]Carmel[/name_u] a lot! [name_f]Carmit[/name_f] just makes me think of [name_m]Kermit[/name_m] the frog.
I like [name_f]Carmelit[/name_f]! It’s pretty and a little bit frilly but also feels quite tailored because of the consonant ending. I actually prefer it to [name_f]Carmelita[/name_f].
Maybe [name_f]Cami[/name_f] or [name_u]Cali[/name_u] for short?
I can also only think of the Carmelite order of nuns.
Strikes me as sweet (caramel) with a bright twist (lit)! Like pp’s my fist thought was “hm Catholic parent with a devotion to Carmelite spirituality?”
